Your basic pH adjustment chemicals, citric acid & calcium carbonateWhile you're getting 18 oz of each product, relatively speaking the value is lacking for two simple chemicals. Those two simple chemicals are calcium carbonate and citric acid which for this price you could probably get 5 lb of each, although they wouldn't be n such a nice container.

I wanted ph up and down on hand for all of my growing needs.When this Lotus set came onto my Amazon Vine feed, I decided to give it a try.Note: I have been invited by Amazon to take part in the Amazon Vine program & I take that very seriously.I order products I am interested in, try them out and give my honest review on that product.I am not paid in any way by Amazon or the sellers for my reviews.Since I am an Amazon customer as well, I provide as much detail as possible for other customers in order to help make an informed decision on the products. I do not recommend products I myself wouldn't use.Let me start off by saying I have never used this type of product before.I grow veggies, flowers, herbs & houseplants so there's always a use for ph up or down.This set is easy to use and easy to follow.It's a powder so no messy liquids. Just add it to your solution and water as normal.I just planted seeds for herbs so once I get some growth, if needed, I will use this product to help in production.I don't know how to use this product so I have a lot to learn but figured it would be nice to have on hand. Some of my plants do struggle throughout the year and I can only imagine it's partly due to incorrect PH levels.I guess we'll see how well it works soon.I will update after I've been using for a while.

Size: 18oz pH DownThe Lotus Nutrients pH Down is pure citric acid according to the seller Grow Strong Industries: "Our pH down is solely derived from ultra concentrated, pure, premium citric acid."I ordered the pH Down to help keep the pH in check for my hydroponic towers. As the water cascades down the column, it becomes aerated which in turn sends the pH skyrocketing to 8.2 each day. I have been switching between vinegar and lemon juice to drop the pH but the drop only lasts a day. Before switching over to phosphoric acid, I'm trying Lotus Nutrients pH Down. I'm still experimenting with the citric acid to determine the best concentration for consistent results and ultimately lower the hydroponic solution slowly and safely. I'll probably need to set up a reciculating DWC bucket system to prevent dramatic fluctuations in the pH.The Lotus Nutrients pH Down is nicely packaged in a plasic bag inside a tub. Included is a double ended scoop - 1 end tsp, 1 end tbsp. Just sprinkle the amount of pH down into a gallon of water until you reach the desired pH.

Oh my gosh this stuff is great for correcting pH in hydroponics. It also works in soil and soilless mediums like coir, and it's a powder instead of a liquid. A powder is so much easier to work with in my opinion. I am very glad I found this product. I mostly use the pH down to get my water down from 7.6 to the 6.5 range.

I got these to add to my list of necessary "tools" for my indoor and outdoor garden. I have hydroponic systems indoors and a full on garden outdoor. These are good to have on hand because the ph level of your soil and water is so important. The ingredients are basic and nothing fancy but they do the job! I think the price is okay for what you get but there's also plenty out there that you can use that's not as pricey. But at least for these, I've tested them and they do the job. Would recommend!

Lotus nutrients is one of those top shelf / top tier brands. The manufacturer of the nicest indoor grow tents promotes this nutrient line on their website and only this nutrient line. Lotus nutrients also has their own website as well and they are top notch as far as I'm concerned and their customer service is very good too. Anytime I've used lotus nutrients in the past I've never been disappointed and I'm certainly not disappointed with this pH up / down kit. It's an incredible value for the money considering their inferior competitors with their liquid pH up down kits. Their competitors will charge you more for a quart set of up and down but these powdered lotus nutrient pH adjusters will stretch a lot farther than that so like I said it makes an incredible value for the money! And you can rest easy knowing that you're using a top-notch product. If you've tried the rest time to take a shot and try the best. I can't say enough good things about these guys and their products. The soda can in the pictures is to give scale to the items. Also they come sealed the lids open almost like a soda pop bottle which will help maintain freshness a lot longer giving it a long shelf life making the value even more well worth it. I overwhelmingly recommend this product in fact you're thinking about purchasing I would go ahead and hit that buy now button. Thanks for taking the time to read my review

Powder solution for ph'ing your water. Highly concentrated and very consistent. I used my pen the first 3 or 4 times, to get my measurements down and now i just test the water before testing so i know I'm starting at the same point. I like Lotus nutrients and have used their synthetic AIO for quite some time and trust them. I use mostly ph down with my water and i love the fact that I can accidentally spill this and not watch it burn like acid on my floor. Mush safer than the liquid ph down. Highly recommend this stuff for the quality, value and utility.
