My dog has an open wound that bleeds. These pads absorbed and do not let any of the blood escape onto the gauze bandage that holds it into place. It draws the blood "into" the bandage. Would totally recommend these for open wounds that have discharge!

We live in the country and we have 8 dogs including strays I've taken in. They're always getting into something. I've used this once on one of the dogs, not that she kept it on long! But it served it's purpose; I made sure she kept it on long enough for medicine to soak into the wound & repeated it a couple times per day. I can't afford & can't even get into my vet's office every time something happens, same with us & our doctor, so I've built up a pretty good first aid stash & this is an important part of it. I'm glad I bought them! If a wound is serious enough, we go to the doctor or vet, otherwise I treat it myself.

We have to keep my dogs leg bandaged for several weeks post surgery so we ordered these since it's a good value. They are very stretchy and soft but sadly almost every single one we unroll has snags & imperfections that make it start to tear over time. Weve used 8 of them so far and 7 had tears/snags etc.

I bought this to support 2 other layers of gauze for a large second degree burn. It kept everything in place while I slept which other brands did not. It seemed to tighten though after a time so I had to wrap it more loosely than I would have but definitely worth it to keep everything in place!

I was shocked first time seeing these. I bought the 4inch. They small tiny rolls. These are better than any other guaze I use. I use three different kinds daily to wrap my legs. I use these first to cover the petroleum patches on my leg wounds. They hold the product in place so it doesn't slide down or move. They self adhesive. No tape needed before I use the other types of guaze for absorption. Not only does it stick to itself when I use two rolls I could use just them. They are not like the big fluffy type of guaze. Didn't know they have so many kinds. While my insurance pays for my medical supplies and I could use just their's I like these so well I buy them out of pocket.
