This product is as described. Once put together seems pretty solid and holds the files I need it to. Rolls perfectly fine on concrete as well.

I purchased this filing cabinet for my office to supplement the filing drawers in my hutch. I wanted a one I could roll up to my desk to have the files I need handy for whatever I am working on. That way my desk is less cluttered and the files are at my fingertips. After reading the reviews, I was a bit worried about the assembly. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble by myself - and I am not mechanically inclined! I followed the recommendations in other reviews and did not tighten the bolts all the way until all the pieces were together. That way you have a little wiggle room to make sure all the holes match up. Then I tightened all bolts and everything fit together perfectly. Very sturdy - I immediately filled it with the stack of files on my desk and it held them all nicely with no issue. I love the wheels so I can move it around depending if I am using it at my desk or tucked away when I am not working. I highly recommend this unit - good value for the money.

Don't believe the naysayers. I was able to put it together in 10 minutes easily. Don't be lazy: Read the instructions - they tell you exactly what to do.

I purchased this model based on a review comment by another buyer who regretted not purchasing a unit with sides. So I forwent the cheaper $48 file cart for this one and I have no regrets, it is a smart looking unit, sturdy and durable. Unit assembled quickly and easily. Casters roll nicely. I bought letter size file folders which fit nicely lengthwise. I do not understand how legal size files or two rows of letter files would hang as shown in the pictures as no additional bar to adjust the file hanging size was provided. One regret is I didn't buy this unit with a lid, if I didn't have it assembled and I use I'd be tempted to return it for the unit with the lid. Assembled with casters the unit sits 25" high, with a lid it could be rolled out and used as a side table, work space. Dart!!totally recommend this unit with or without the lid.

I just got done putting this puppy together & had it not been for the reviews explaining what they did, instead of following the directions, I'd still be at it. So, a HUGE THANK YOU to those reviewers that took the time to explain a better way to do this. If you follow the company's directions, it will be the master class in frustration. Whatever you do...DO NOT PUT THE WHEELS ON FIRST. You'll be chasing that thing all over the place. I put them on last! I also put the sides together first, as one reviewer said. I did one thing more. After I put the sides together, altho loosely, I put the bottom shelf on. I didn't tighten everything until it was all put together. You'll have to watch to make sure the little hook like things that the sides slide down on, don't come out. After putting the bottom shelf on, I went back & dropped the bottom piece for the cage part on. It was a little tricky, but because nothing was tighten down, it allowed me to remove the screws & maneuver the bottom piece into place, then replacing the screws thru all of the holes. After reading those wonderful reviews, I didn't even really look at the directions, other than to make sure all the parts were there. Once the bottom of the file cage itself was in place, with the screws going thru all the holes, I tightened everything down. I'm a 60 year old, single women & I struggle to put this stuff together, mainly due to rheumatoid arthritis, but I at least try first. Had it not been for the reviews I read & instead went by the directions, I would've ended up putting this thing in the corner & waiting for my son to do it.Now, for my opinion on this item. It's a GREAT little rolling file holder. This thing is well made & very, very sturdy! It's heavy & roomy & it will hold a ton of files without any problems. It has the double wheels, which will be up to the task of handling a lot of weight & still roll easily, even on a low pile carpet. It's also very attractive, which is always a plus for us women. This could be used for many other things besides a file holder. It's attractive enough to put on your front porch with large flower pots in it. haha...just sayin.I would definitely recommend this product to my friends & family. For the price, you can't beat it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because one of the end pieces was bowed a little & the bottom shelf had a small dent in it. Did not interfere with the function or hinder putting it together, but it was slightly damaged. And probably was packed that way at the factory, because the box it came in was undamaged. That being said, it's definitely worth the money. I just may end up buying another one down the road. Thanks again to the reviewers that took the time to write a detailed review. Made my experience with this product frustration free!

I received this item yesterday and am very happy with the purchase. I work from a home office and wanted something nicer than the cheap looking plastic versions of a rolling file cart. Here are the reasons I gave it five stars:- it looks super nice for a home office- it very efficiently fits right under my desk so it doesn't take up floor space in my small office. The assembled height is 27 3/4" and my desk height is 28" so just be aware of height if you are looking to have it fit under your desk.- it is very solid and sturdy- it's made from steel/metal and not cheap plastic like other versions you see online- letter sized files with file holders fit perfectly- bottom shelf is very strong and could hold things like reams of paper for a printer, if needed- this item does not wobble in the least - it is super safe and durable- it has a nice sheen to it - it's not too shiny and not matt - just a nice in between sheen that makes it a nice looking piece of office furniture- super smooth rolling mechanism for moving the cart around.I saw that 2 individuals gave this product 2 stars because the holes didn't line up correctly. There was no need for this and there is no need for concern. This product did not deserve 2 stars for this reason. Yes, it is true at first glance the holes to put in the screws with the pieces don't appear to line up if all you are doing is holding up the pieces to assemble, but then you realize that there is a reason for this once you are done. All you need to do is apply some reverse pressure to have the holes line up. The reason for the tight fit I realized after I was done is that is that is what makes this so sturdy once assembled. If the holes weren't a tight fit you'd end up with a wobbly product whose screws would gradually become loose over time and you wouldn't be happy with it if it did this. An example is an office chair - all the holes line up perfectly and easily to assemble, but in time you have to get the allen wrench out and tighten everything up again. Because the fit is so tight with the screws on this item, there is zero chance of these screws coming loose with movement or over time and having your rolling cart accidentally collapse. This item is rock solid once assembled and it's "because" of the tight fit of the pieces. In order to have the holes line up I just applied reverse pressure by putting the opposite side I was working with flat on the floor so that I could apply pressure on the side I was working on - it was simple once you did this. So no need to get out a hammer or bang it up to get it to fit like the 2 star reviewers did - just apply pressure by laying item flat as I mentioned and it will line up. I used a phillips screwdriver to push the screw thru the hole (it then has a nut on opposite side you'd twist onto the screw. Total assembly took about 20 minutes. There were 8 screws. I am going to buy another - this is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it. In my opinion, this item is worth every penny.
