The Longer Ray5 20W laser engraver is a very powerful machine that rivals the more expensive diode lasers. Pair it with light burn software and you will be engraving all kinds of materials. I wish I had purchased the pro max with the air assist.

It's very good at cutting wood with an added aquarium air pump but I am super frustrated with the included rotary tool and I doubt the promised color engraving is actually a thing. It's also a. 200$ software upcharge. Be ware. This isn't a easy fun hobby. I gotta say honestly.i don't think this was the best first step into laser engraving.

It assembled fairly easily. This is my first laser engraver and for the price it was definitely worth it. It’s a simple design and easy to use with their app. I do wish the app had more functions to adjust shapes and hardness of lines. Functions well for a first timer.

I got into this hobby not knowing what to expect. Set up was okay the instructions aren’t clear but YouTube helped a lot. The quality is top tier at a fraction of the cost. My family member has a glowforge and she can’t do half the stuff due to her machine’s restrictions. This is extremely accurate laser and can do so many things. Can’t wait to get my rolling attachment to do tumblers and other things. If you want to start this 100% buy this laser for your first

Does anyone know the dimensions of the focus tool (the meta cylinder to adjust the height if the laser)?My guess is the manufacturer forgot to package one or.sent me a used one. Everything looks brand new so I'm assuming one just was not packaged

I purchased the Longer Ray5 C with air assist and roller and cannot get the roller to function. The instructions (just 5 pages for the roller) and none with the laser. I called customer support, and they are only in China which means they are 12 hours ahead of us. The gentleman that I keep dealing with said they will email me the manuals and set up instructions, but I have not received it after 3 calls. I bought the laser to engrave custom pens, glasses etc. I'm extremely upset as this is impacting my business. The laser has great reviews and is mentioned in good regards, but I'm not seeing how. I gave it 2 stars only because they at least answer the phone but the technical aspect is appalling.Update. Customer service finally cane through and got me the software parameters I needed and got the machine working. 4 stars mostly due to the support. Still they need to clean house on their software publications, that would really be nice to have current, accurate data that could be easier to access.Update, Longer has gone way over the top to make thing right with me. They actually offered a full refund!!! I did not accept the offer but instead asked them to to send me the XY extension kit. The product works well and After the initial problem they have bent over backwards to make things right.

Laser potente e de boa qualidade, facil de montar, requer um bocado de aprendizagem para usar mas tirando isso é uma boa maquina, tive apenas um pequeno problema no encaixe de dois parafusos na parte de trás do laser.Recomendo totalmente e para o preço dificilmente se arranja um produto preço/qualidade melhor.

Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser, purchased 3-2023 from Amazon.I wanted to add a few lines to my review after using the Longer Ray5-10 laser. I have been having a blast with it. I can now make things I never could prior to purchasing this laser. In conjuction with Lightburn laser software it is a great asset to my shop. There is a learning curve but so much help is available on the Youtube channels. I am amazed by this machine.When I received my Longer Ray 5-10 Watt Laser, I found it well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Assembly was easy. I purchased this Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser to help my daughter with a production laser engraving job she was working on. To accomplish this, I mounted the laser to a 3/4 in. thick hard flat compressed wood board and covered that with a 20 gauge steel plate. I made custom legs as I needed the rigidity and placed them so I could use them to align my engraving fixutre plate. I also moved the touch pad control up higher as I needed to slide my fixtrue in and out from the front.After installing lightBurn on my computer I quickly discovered that this is some great software. It was easy and intuitive to use. I was able to create her logo and engrave it on the first try. I almost couldn't believe it. I was able to adjust the power and speed easily. I am engraving on the top of a 2" diameter ABS plastic ball where the graphics are 1 1/2 inch wide. The Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser was able to do this easily. I adjusted the height on the laser modual to just clear the ball and pushed start and was pleasantly suprised to see it engraved the logo on top and down the sides of the ball witout a rotary table or a Z axis move. The precise laser beam does a great job. The ease of use of this laser and software is amazing. This is the first laser machine I owned. Before I began assembly, I had a couple of questions and Longer customer service was attentive and answered my questions in a timely manor.I was very impressed by the touch screen and its functions. I have a touch screen on my 3D printer and wanted one on my laser machine, and the Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser comes with one standard. I highly recommend this Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser. To show you how the Longer Ray5 10 Watt Laser engraves on a ball I clipped the Longer logo and imported it into Lightburn and engraved it on one of the 2 in. diameter balls. See pictures. I still have to make 2 slide in fixtures and may include those after completion. Each fixture plate will hold 36 2 in. ABS balls. I also will make an enclosure wit a vent.Dale

Der Aufbau war sehr leicht und schnell erledigt. Praktisch ist auch das Youtubevideo vom Hersteller in dem jeder Schritt nochmal einzeln gezeigt wird. Also Software empfehle ich Lightburn. Ich empfehle das Lasern mit absoluten Positionen. Bis jetzt sind keinerlei Probleme aufgetreten. Holz bis 1 cm konnte ich bereits erfolgreich schneiden. Auch das Gravieren von Holz, Leder und vorallem Schiefer ging Problemlos. Zahlreiche Weihnachtsgeschenke für die Familie habe ich mit diesem Laser erledigt. Sollte eine 20 Watt Version erscheinen werde ich mir diesen natürlich auch zulegen.
