This fry basket works and fits perfectly with the 9 qt cast iron dutch oven. It has some awesome design features like: The handle is removable and it folds for easy storage. The basket has a built in spacer on the bottom to keep it slightly off the bottom. There is a built in clip to hang it on the edge of the dutch oven above the hot oil so it can drain when you're done cooking.

The basket wires wrap around the top of the basket and are not covered by a protective rim. Due to not having protection, the wires are easy to snag and slip easily out of place. I don’t see this fry basket as being very durable.

The fit and cleaning is good. The only thing I disliked is that when resting on the edge it tilts down instead of up

Works great with my lodge Dutch oven. Folds so you can fit it inside when not in use. Well made and sturdy product. I like that it has feet so it doesn’t sit on the bottom of the fryer

We ordered this to fit our Lodge Cast Iron Dutch Oven and it is exactly the right size and fit. We do not do much deep frying, but when the occasion arises, we wanted the ability so to do. This basket works well in that regard, is easy to store inside the the Dutch oven, and seems very sturdy and well made. We are pleased and for Shrove Tuesday we enjoyed a feast of fresh beignets thanks to the ability to deep fry.

We like making fries at our house, the basket fits perfectly into our Lodge cast iron pot. It makes cooking fries tidier and streamlined.

We purchased this intending to use it with the L8CF3 chicken fryer but found that it works best with the 5 qt dutch oven because of the feet that allow the oil to flow under it. The depth of the dutch oven also allows for the oil to rise more when placing a new batch in. We love the way it allows us to get so much in and out at a time with even browning. I would encourage you to be careful and not overfill either the pot with oil (no more than half) or the basket with food. This takes a little trial and error but that doesn't take long.

This is the one to buy for the 10.5" skillet. But it is *not* made of stailness steel and nickle plated - It rusts! Not much of a problem if one is using it for frying in oil.

Es ligero pero resistente, aguanta perfecto el aceite caliente y embona muy bien el las ollas lodge, la agarradera se dobla para el almacenaje, por el precio en que la compre(en oferta) estoy contento con la compra.

I FOUND THE BASKET TO BE VERY WELL MADE. I USED THIS CHRISTMAS EVE AND DID ALOT OF FRYING USING A LODGE CAST IRON POT. THE BASKET FIT EXACTLY INTO THE POT. YOU CAN SUBMERGE WHATEVER YOUR FRYING WITHOUT ANY FUSS. THERE IS A HOOK ON THE BASKET WHICH ATTACHES TO THE SIDE OF THE POT THAT ALLOWS YOU TO LET THE OIL DRAIN FROM THE FOOD BEFORE YOU REMOVE IT FROM THE BASKET. TAKES A LITTLE GETTING USED TO. THE FOOD COOKS MUCH MUCH FASTER THAN USING A FRYING PAN. I WOULD RECOMMEND USING A SPLATTER SCREEN WHEN FRYING. THE LODGE POT USES ALOT OF OIL, ABOUT 1 GALLON. THE BENIFT IS THE OIL NEVER COOLS AND YOU CAN CONTINUALLY FRY YOUR FOOD WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT FOR THE OIL TO REACH THE CORRECT TEMP, ALMOST LIKE AN ASSEMBLY LINE. ALSO, THE FOOD ABSORBED VERY LITTLE IF ANY OIL AS IT SHOULD BE. I DID ALOT OF FRYING AND DID NOT HAVE TO ADD ANY ADDITIONAL OIL TO THE POT. THERE WAS VERY LITTLE CRUMBS OR FLOUR IN THE OIL WHEN IT COOLED. THE BASKET ALLOWED ME CUT MY FRYING TIME IN HALF. GREAT PRODUCT, EXCELLENT PRICE, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT.

Got this the other day cleaned it, dried it, put it away until use. It fit perfect in the Lodge Pro-Logic 7qt Dutch Oven. It even made it easier to rest paper towels on the lid during storage. Now, before first use I had to muscle the resting loop open a bit more so when you're done frying and drip the oil, it would fit. I wouldn't trust it to stay there when removing fried goods with tongs. I'd drip it on the Dutch Oven then rest it on a plate and use tongs to remove the goods. My first time using it I made deep fried chicken drumsticks and they turned out divine. After modifying the resting loop I'd say the basket performed superb. There was even room to leave the thermometer in the oil so I could monitor the frying temp. It was relatively easy to clean afterwords and fits perfectly inside the Dutch Oven for storage as I mentioned before. I was frying 5-6 chicken drumsticks at a time and flimsy is not a word I'd use to describe this basket.
