Loctite PL Premium Fast Grab Polyurethane Construction Adhesive did not live up to its promises regarding strength and durability. I had high expectations based on the product's claims, but I found it lacking in holding power for the demanding projects I intended to use it for. While it does provide some adhesion, it falls short of the robust, long-lasting bond that I was looking for.Despite its shortcomings, it can still serve as a temporary solution for less critical applications. For instance, it might be useful for light-duty repairs or projects where a permanent, heavy-duty bond is not necessary. In situations where immediate, high-strength adhesion is crucial, this adhesive may not be the best choice. The application process was straightforward, and the adhesive did set relatively quickly. However, its performance in terms of holding heavy or high-stress materials together was underwhelming. If you're looking for something that can provide a quick fix or hold materials together until a more durable solution is applied, this adhesive might suffice. In summary, while Loctite PL Premium Fast Grab Polyurethane Construction Adhesive is not as strong as advertised, it can still be useful for temporary fixes or lighter applications. For projects requiring high-strength, long-term bonding, it would be wise to consider other options. This product may be convenient for short-term needs, but it does not offer the robust performance one might expect from a premium construction adhesive.

Exactly what I needed for good and quick adhesion. It is viscous, so it is not as smooth as caulk. It is best to apply thinly or smooth once applied. Works great.

From the start, this product was very very difficult to use. It took a tremendous amount of effort to squeeze even a small amount out of the tube. I believe the adhesive was already pretty much set up in the tube. Adhesion was poor; after about an hour, I could easily separate two pieces of wood that were put together with this adhesive. I believe that this adhesive must be several years old. Totally useless. Complete waste of money. Buy something else.

Loved this stuff. Used a regular caulking gun and had no issues at all. It is very think, but before opening I turned my over on 350 and let it warm up OUTSIDE the oven near the top. Used it to work on wood cabinets to adhere endcaps and cross supports.

In my opinion, this is the best that Loctite has in an adhesive. Yes it’s thick and hard to squeeze out of the tube but that’s what makes it’s adhesiveness so strong! It has excellent bonding power and dries as hard as a rock. It’s sandable, paintable and can also be used as a crack or nail hole filler.Great stuff!!

I can’t believe the low reviews on this product! This is hands down the strongest glue I’ve ever used and I’m a big time DIYer. I use it for EVERYTHING, baseboards, wood feature wall projects, my refrigerator makeover....This glue is literally woven into the bones of my house 😂. But seriously people if you’ve ever used any other glue you would know this is the superior species. It’s hard to squeeze it from the tube but when I buy it from Home Depot that’s NOT the case. This is an amazon problem. I think they send old glue. But even with the slow flow I still buy it here if I can’t get to Home Depot because it’s worth putting up with! ALSO I am not being paid to write this or given free products. I was just soooo bugged that the best DIY glue had such an undeservedly low rating!

Too thick to get out of the tube. Probably a good glue but perhaps sold too late to be of any use.

I bought this to attach a roller shade to a fiberglass door and also used it to hang some robe hooks on the back of 2 plastic hollow closet doors. It worked well but a few additional steps were necessary. I chose this product because of its “fast grab” properties thinking I could glue up pieces onto a heavy vertical door without having to unhinge it.It is viscous and very difficult to squeeze out and to spread on the surface once applied. The solution ended up being heating the cartridge in the oven. I set our oven on its lowest temp, 175F and put the tube of Loctite in for about 20 minutes on a foil sheet. I removed it when I felt the plastic tip going soft. This allowed me to use it in a cheap caulking gun without trouble. I think it also sped up the curing time significantly compared to the non-heated attempt.Once it had it applied, it was still very thick and it was very helpful to use clamps, not to secure it in place, but rather to spread it evenly. The time I tried not clamping I ended up with it about 1/8” off the door because of the thickness of the unspread glue bead.I applied this in the winter in a desert climate with relative humidity in the low 20’s. To cure, this product seems to need to pull water from the air to react. I found that in our dry conditions if I did not mist the glue joint with water it didn’t set up even after hours. The two times I applied heat and water it worked as I hoped, with a grab time of about 30 minutes and rock solid the next day.
