The product provides quick fixture times on steel, brass and stainless steel of 5, 15 and 20 min respectively. LOCTITE 242 is thixotropic to prevent migration after application and is intended for fasteners that require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. Perfect for temperatures between -65°F - 300°F (-54°C - 149°C). STEADFAST ADHESION LOCTITE 242 is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Suitable for applications on less active substrates such as plated surfaces, where disassembly with hand tools is required for servicing. Set of 2.

This is the medium stuff that can be removable. Works really well. I used it to lock down rattling metal parts in the bridge of my guitar. I wish the tip was a bit more concentrated. After each use, you will want a thin pin to poke down into the tip so it doesn’t get jammed up for the next use which will probably happen no matter what. It’s a bit expensive at $7, but if you need it, this is the product that gets the job done. It does dry blue so be aware of that.

sticks best when used for applications that won't involve extreme sports like skiing and surfing. don't ask about what's happened to me when I've relied on this threadlock to hold in adverse conditions. Really needs a dry and super clean surface to set properly

Percussion has a subtle effect on threaded fasteners. Several rounds through a firearm can loosen the tightest screws. Loctite Blue is like duct tape for threads: It makes sure things that shouldn't move don't, until you want them to.
