The product is great, fits perfectly where i wanted it. But i didnt get the screw to assemble the parts. Had to improvise.Besides that- i like it

for what it is, it is not very expensive and pretty nice. It definitely won't break soon or anything but getting a separate sponge is needed. Be careful about touching the metal when putting it in though as it can burn you though.

I wonât lie; this wonât be part of a pro soldering set but if youâre a reluctant beginner, this is a great starter that wonât break the bank. It fits my cheap starter soldering iron well. Iâve seen others warn that it can slip and melt the collar but it is a coil so as long as you donât bump it too hard, you shouldnât have an issue with that. It looks like itâs just a universal size, smooth and round where the handle of my iron has a polygon shape. As long as you carefully seat it, it sits pretty well.Easy to assemble, just one screw to assemble the coil to the base. And yes, the base is light so it could be easily knocked over but itâs well balanced so again, youâd have to be a bit careless to manage that. I suggest if you are a bit clumsy (no shame it that), you could mount it on a desk or heavy block more firmly with double sided tape or even screws. The sponge is very thin and small but it will hold up to light use.I like the tin with the wiry cleaning ball as well (okay, yes, beginner here so my vocab is not caught up). Itâs both lightweight and stable and works well for cleaning the tip of the iron as well.This is a nice set for the price. I initially only bought the wire with flux core and a soldering iron, not realizing it was a really rough configuration and extremely tough to begin with. Getting a heavy board with clamps was a must and a simple set for holding the iron when you need both hands for repositioning parts and cleaning the iron are a part of turning a new experience into something more confidence building. And what you might think this set lacks you can add to easily enough if needed. Part of DIY is problem solving and this is a great set to get things moving as you explore soldering.

This is a sturdy holder for your soldering iron. Much better than the pressed out piece of metal I was using before that slide around everywhere. The sponge looks too thin when dry it really plumps up when wet The ball shell holder is nice too, typical brillo ball holder.

I'm giving this 5 stars, not because it's perfect, but because for the price, you really can't go wrong.It goes together fairly easily, it's sturdy and holds my iron just fine. The sponge is pretty small, but it works.I suppose it'd be nice if the tip cleaner ball also was on the same unit, but again, it works.
