This is the BRS-55, including the BRS silkscreening but the listing has a different name. Out of the box, the flame adjustment is off. Look up the BRS item for a video of how to adjust (remove the globe, use a 7mm wrench to remove the nozzle, walk the adjustment knob off, turn it a little in the desired direction, and reassemble). After adjustment, this seems to function exactly as the Snow Peak variant it’s a clone of.

The o tins don't seal meaning that the gasses are free to roam just threw this out my door so it didn't blow up in my garage. I replaced the rings The top is so loose it's pointless. The valve can not be adjusted finely it either too much gas or off. This piece of crap needs to be discontinued. Be warned!!!!

Decent light. It's like an adjustable candle. You choose flame size with the glass by turning it.

This little gadget looks appealing, but don't be fooled. I used it only 2-3 nights per week for an hour or two in optimal conditions. Nothing to conplain over. It stopped producing any flame a few months in. Common for this product accross multiple manufacturers...I did find the time to disassemble the little bugger to discover that it requires a clean through/out after thorough use. BE ADVISED, Not a quick repair! ;]

As bright as a Bic lighter, soft and warm light. Been using daily, gas usage is ridiculous low. Cleaned and rebuilt once. Would buy again, and again.

This little gas lamp works great and easy to operate. Great for outdoors. Does not need a mantle membrane. I bought these lamps for the outdoors and for emergencies in the event of power shortage.

Took a while to get to me but, I was pretty excited to see this come in. My initial unboxing impressions where high. The product is packaged in a protective plastic case within a card stock box with the usual BRS Chinese language written all over it. The over all use is pretty easy to figure out and the over all performance is just good. It gives off about as much light as two high wicked candles when turned up to a flame setting that reaches the top of the glass globe. I would recommend not turning it up past that as you will have a potential for a flame out shortly afterward. I believe there was written somewhere that it uses about 6g/hr of gas. That may be true at the lower setting. A friend of mine and I were sitting outdoors as I had this running on about high and it seemed to use up a lot of gas in the hour I had it lit. Maybe a third to a quarter of a 220g tank although I maybe exaggerating that figure as I could swear that the tank I was using was heavier. Some experimenting may be needed but, one will need to determine if the cost of burning the type of fuel is worth carrying an extra canister around. Also,.... the instructions say, "for outdoor use only", I would feel in an emergency situation that if there was no risk of an explosive atmosphere around ad I needed light in a cabin or house that this would be alright indoors provided you take precautions not to knock this over or put it under something combustible. In other words, it's no more dangerous than say a coleman lantern or a kerosene lamp inside. In conclusion, this is a pretty decent low level light lantern. It has a nice ambiance flame for a light source that like I said before is about as bright as two candles.
