As advertised. Very illuminating. A supply of mantels are recommended.

Not a high quality item, but for the cost it is good and does the job. Small and light, perfect extra light source especially if you are bringing butane cans with you already.

ok what i like about it- small- runs on gas, easy to light...what I don't like - glass and frame look easy to break (it's in my bag and I haven't broke it yet)...the mantels. and finally the price. I paid over $20. and I'm seeing it on Ali express and TEMU (I don't use either site btw) but $3.73/$8.18- I feel kind of ripped. I notice rate price isn't an option...and I don't usually complain about pricing, but I feel a little cheated on the price. Over all I think it's a pretty good camping light. GL!

It's bright enough to see people, but not bright enough to do anything by it. Too small for the mantle, and the mantle will tear as soon as you light them up. Honestly, our four dollar dollar battery lantern from the dollar store was more useful.

Bought two. Both arrived with the mantle pre-installed and hooked on the piezo wires, which naturally made holes in them before I even unpacked them. Will pick up some decent mantles at the local sporting goods store and try again and update the rating based on results from there.Additional: apparently one had a crack in the globe too, it shattered as soon as it started to heat up.

Used for outdoor lighting. First lantern was missing the bottom gasket and caught on fire. Also, the lid is flimsy and easy to bend. In addition, don't use propane! Adapter or not you'll have a hard time adjusting the flame from zero to torch! Mantles don't last.

Looks to be a nice device. Unfortunately the globe broke when I tried to mount it after burning off the mantle, rendering it useless before even one use.

This is nice to use at night in a tent or table. Not sure about this warmth rating thought? I did not expect it to heat anything LOL. However this is a nice light weight to have item for any camper or off grid person. Mantles are tuff to find but Mid west i found a place searching duck duck go and got 4 sets to have for stock. Works well and stays light. I would recommend.

I have a number of stoves and other items that use this sort of technology to work with iso-butane gas cannisters. This is really no different - a connector with a gas valve, a gas/air manifold, and then a flame output or burner. They generally work fairly well, as does this one. The problem is in quality assurance during assembly. The parts are cheap and they're likely put together quickly in the factory, which together can result in shoddy construction. The unit I got fits this description. The parts were not well-fitted, and one was a little bent resulting in a slightly lopsided burner area. Taking the entire thing apart to realign things was kind of a chore. It's doable, but you'll need a little common sense and understanding of how the machine works to be successful if yours requires it. I doubt all will, but I'm guessing it's a bit hit-or-miss in that way.The hang chain installs to the top of the globe retainer with a nub that gets inserted and then twisted into a slot. Take some care when doing this. The nub needs to be perfectly centered to allow it to twist and get seated. Forcing it will result in both a bent and unusable nub, as well as a stripped out slot. I had to experiment a lot to get it right, and ultimately ended up taking the retainer off the lantern, and using a set of needle-nose pliers to help.I'm sure this lantern will work with propane as well, but you'll need an adaptor for the small green cannisters sold at camping stores.

Liked the compact size. Really wanted it use the lantern. Unfortunately there were problems. First, like so many others have noted, the original mantle failed with holes after being burned-off. Replaced bad mantle a Coleman which burned down to a very nice fit. Piezoelectric lighter works well. Mantle did not produce incandescence evenly. Parts of the mantle were bright while other parts were dark or glowed red. Gas adjustment did not help. At low most of the mantle was burning a dull orange. At higher gas settings there was a concerning amount of over-burn with flames out of the top. A slight adjustment changes output from an ember to a blazing torch. Last, the spring wires that retain the glass chimney fall out easily, I can imagine myself trying to find a loose one in the grass. They also impinge directly on the glass -- because of this I was afraid to use the force necessary to snap them into the body of the lantern. Glass breaks easily. Returned.
