I planted these in my Koi pond and, after 2 or 3 weeks I had healthy sprouts coming up. Couldn't ask for more. The were well packaged for shipping and easy to plant.

The item came beautifully packaged! The simulated flower was a cute addition and I threw it in my pond for some color. Actual root bulb inside was well-protected and healthy. The Drop-N-Grow convenience was literally what it said: Dropped it in my pond (well placed atop a river rock so that it was only 6" below the water level), and after two weeks, two lily pads have hit the water surface with more to come! Mind you, this is with minimal direct sunlight (only about 2 hours or so), so I don't expect flowers until I can relocate the pond, but good enough for now! Pond is only a 35 gallon with a 14" depth, so will put it at the very bottom of the pond in a few months. You too can have a green thumb!

When it arrived it smelled rotten but I still gave it some time to see if it was just the fact that it was in transit and water. It did not bloom continue to rot so I returned it for a refund. The company didn’t give me any problems with the refund and I believe selling plants and seeds would be a hard business- It would be one star for the plant three stars because the business didn’t give me any problems. Still a bummer

Horrible! It doesn't deserve even one star.Old dead bulb received. They aren't even changing it! This is cheating. It's a rotten rhizome.😠

Hopefully I’ll remember to come back & update in a month or so, when hopefully we have flowers. So far the pads have grown enough to reach the surface. I ordered a second plant & I’m excited to watch them take over our pond!

I order 3 of these to compare as a potential alternative to my local watergarden nursery (which sold at comparable prices - maybe a bit cheaper actually). Here's the result:1.) In a month, 2 of three actually have one leaf each. The leaf is small. I suspect they will start to grow with summer sun in Seattle getting brighter. Still $43 for for one leaf - and one is clearly dead.2.) they have to sit in shallow water until they get reasonable growth. After a month, I am still not able to move them to deeper water (like over 8 inches). My opinion: this product is overpriced and simply sucks. Buy local. I saw all the other reviews... I find them very hard to believe based on my test with 3 items.

I ordered two plants to see how the process of starting lilies this way worked. They arrived in their packaging as described and I followed the directions on the package. After two weeks there was no discernible growth. After a month I removed the two plants and investigated the root bundle and could not see any signs of life.I’m not sure if these plants were the exception…but, I would not recommend them based on my experience.

I bought 2 of these and put them in my pond on September 8th and there is 0 growth. I'm not sure if it just takes longer, but I thought I would have seen something by now. Im in West Texas so it's still hot and they're getting plenty of sun.

I recieved my lily less than one day after I submitted the order. I recently got fish for my livestock water trough and wanted to grow a lily as a shade source for the fish. When I recieved it, it was growing in a mesh bag with about 3 leaves on it. Initially I used a string (of my own because the one supplied was two short) and hung the lily from the water source. The instructions say to attach the lily to the "floater" supplied using the string supplied but that's kind of a joke if your pond is any more than 8 inches deep. The lily is way too heavy to be supported by the "floater." So after a few weeks of hanging in the mesh bag, the lilly grew five more leaves. At that point I planted the Lilly in a shallow rubber bucket at the bottom of the tank with clay based aquatic soil and two fertilizer tablets all covered with stones. It has been 3 weeks since I did that and I already have about 8 additional leaves! After placing the lilly in the pot on the bottom, the leaves were almost a foot under the surface of the water but it only took less than 24 hours for them to grow to the surface. Fascinating 😁 I love my lilies! 10/10 recommend. The top picture is from when it was hanging and the bottom is 3 weeks after I planted it. I plan to fertilize once a month.
