The sleeveless vest by Little Donkey Andy is very well made and comfortable. The vest is heavier, but that allows the vest to be wind resistant. I ordered my vest a size larger than my normal size since I was planning on wearing it over other clothing, it is a bit more roomier, but still comfortable. The vest performs as expected, it allows others to see me while riding my bike, which is what I wanted since I will sometimes ride on a busier road. One feature that I do enjoy is the 5 zippered pockets, lots of places to keep my belongings. Overall, this sleeveless vest is so nice that I am pleasantly surprised at how well it was made and is priced correctly for the quality of this vest.

There is a saying that goes something like...there is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing. This vest is great for hiking, biking and kayaking in weather that is not so ideal. The material is water resistant and the higher collar and narrower arm holes and waist binding help keep the water and wind out. I have a Little Donkey Andy rain suit, and the light gray matches the gray in my rain suit. The accent color is more of an aquamarine, cyan or sea foam green, than turquoise. The material is stretchy, making it comfortable with movement, such as paddling a kayak. There is a large zippered pouch on the lower back and reflective material between the shoulder blades. There is an interior pocket on either side of the abdominal area. Those pockets do not have zippers or elastic to keep items secure. I ordered my rain suit in a small but when I looked at pictures of this vest, I felt the fit would be slightly baggy so I ordered an extra small and it fits perfect for me...so I would say the the sizes are true depending on your preference for fit and how many layers that your plan on wearing under it.

I have a blue vest that is also made by Little Donkey Andy and I love it! I wear it all the time when I go out walking or riding my horse. I thought this vest would be like that one, and it almost is except that this has elastic at the bottom. It's not mentioned in the description and not really noticeable in the photos until you look for it. I still like the vest, and love the color (I have a saddle pad that will match it perfectly!) but the blue one will continue to be my favorite because it does not have the elastic at the bottom. The elastic tends to make it look puffier rather than falling with a form fitting look in my opinion. I normally wear a size small but ordered the extra small after reading previous reviews and it does fit perfectly. It has a lot of nice features such as the many pockets and the reflective details on the back. The way it is color blocked with the black on the sides tends to make you look thinner too. The pink is a deep dark pink and really pretty. Great vest but I am deducting one star for the elastic at the bottom because I dislike that.

This is a very nice vest. I am a little over 5'8" tall and about 145 pounds, I got a medium because I will wear it over a couple of layers once the fall weather hits. I was right between small and medium on the size chart but I could've gone with the small and still had room for a short sleeve base layer and a light long sleeve second layer. I got the 'green' and it's really what I would call florescent (hi-vis) yellow. This is what I expected based on the pictures. It is definitely water repellent, but it hasn't rained enough yet to see how much it will take before it becomes saturated. Glad I got it.

I don't get excited about rain, but I am eager to wear this vest! It is really nice quality fabric and construction. The zipper feels solid, and it has a liner to separate the rained-on layer from whatever you're wearing underneath it (I got the gray colored vest and the liner is a pretty teal). I tested it for water repellancy in the shower (dry spell locally at the moment), and while the outer layer appears to have some repelling elements, it does look to get saturated, but that inner layer stays dry. Because of the double layer this isn't exactly your go-to for 90F temps, but Fall, here we come!
