I’m using these to clamp transient voltages in O gauge model railroading so I’m not likely to ever know if these worked or not but they arrived to me packaged nicely.Internet lore says these may help save expensive electronics from static electricity. They are placed between the hot and neutral terminals (sounds odd, but that’s what I’ve seen). Some users solder or otherwise fasten them at the transformer, power bus, lockons, various points along the track, or even directly in the engine between the center rail pick up roller and neutral.
