This tool made it much easier to get the heater hoses off of my 2014 focus st, I recommend some wd40 along with it if it’s on there tight

Still an absolute pain to do, but without this tool it would of taken me far longer to remove these lines. Had an O-ring failure in the inlet line, but went ahead and replaced the O-rings in both lines. Sometimes it seems like the connector isn't budging, I found that moving the tool back and forth to 'lock' and 'unlock' the connector helped get it into the proper position. Then you would need to wiggle the hose back and forth to actually remove it from the heater core fitting. Be sure to apply a grease to the fitting when reconnecting your hose lines in order for it to lock properly into place. Another tip is to make sure the quick connect fitting is in the 'lock' position before reinstalling. It will click into place with some force. Do the inlet first, then the return.Hope this helps!

If you have a Ford Focus ST, or anything with a 2.0L Ecoboost, or anything else with those Ford heater hoses, you're probably looking for these. It'll make getting that thing off of the hose barb a lot easier since you're already going to be twisted like a pretzel trying to get at that thing in the first place.

Used this on a heater hose on a 2012 Ford Focus. Managed to get it on the coupling (it's a tight area to work in), turned it, coupling released. For this car this thing is a necessity for this job. Worth the money.

If you need to remove heater hoses from the firewall get this tool...O ring goes on the inside of this fitting and starts a leak...hoses are not interchangeable (left to right) but the O ring is the same...went to the wrecker and some hoses were cut off right at the fitting...no issue just need the ring...sprayed with some WD/40 put the tool on turned the lock and the hose came right off...took a few like this and 1 car had complete hoses so I took them too...the wrecker charged me $15.00 for 4 ends and 2 complete hose...popped out the O rings (all were good) took mine off the same way.took out bad ring and put in other one...and voilla....no leak...tool is worth every penny

My hoses were stuck on after 100k miles in the Arizona heat, I don't know how I would have initially removed the hoses without this tool. I had leakage issues when I put the hoses back on after an engine swap and the tool was a huge help trying to "seat" the hoses. I needed a new O ring that is approx. 3/4" inside the end of the hose, once I replaced the O ring the hoses are leak free. The tool fits snugly on the hose so I left the tool attached to the hose in the engine bay. I would definitely recommend this tool.
