So easy to install on my 2017 Venture Sporttrek 290, the height of my camper made it awkward to climb up with the short 3 step original fold out steps, after adding the 4 step Lippert which changed the angle of entry it was a perfect match and we could not be happier with this set up now and the price was great also; so if your floor is 30 inches off the ground like mine is, you will love these quad (4) steps.

Delivery was right on time and fast. This was to replace a set of foldable RV steps, to match the one step that was already installed on the other trailer door. Very well built and super easy to install with two options for fasteners (depending on the trailer floor construction). Nothing beats the wide treads and solid feel for entry and exit. Highly recommended and worth the price.

We never liked the steps that came with our camper - they were not sturdy and bounced when stepping on and off. Also, I had to replace the originals due to cracked welds. Origninal steps were also a safety concern especially when loading/unloading for trips. We love these new steps - they are sturdy and safe. I love the top step that is wider - it can also be used to sit on it. They are lightweight and easy to lift up and down. . I saw some reviews saying the dirt ends up in your camper when storing- kind of silly if you don't keep your steps clean - just sweep them off if they get dirty. These were easy to install - just make sure after putting in the first 2 screws your doors open and close properly - I had to make a small adjustment where I screwed in the steps.

Our motorhome is at the low end of the range for door opening with and height above ground, so I could use the 2-step model at minimum settings. Adjustments are easy within the range given on the spec sheet. I had to cut a piece of the floor covering out so that the door would close over the step, which was a bit of a messy job with the tools I have, but otherwise no problem. Advise trial fitting before fixing in position.

I have a 2017 Surveyor 32' Bunk House Model. It has two exterior entry ways-Main entry and Bathroom entry. We stay at a lot of state parks in the Pacific Northwest. We love all the parks we stay at however some of them are sometimes rustic. With the stock swing out 3 step I found we had to use a step stool to accommodate the height difference from ground to bottom step. This made for some treacherous climbs resulting in wife and kids stumbling numerous times. After seeing the new steps coming stock on new RV's I did some research and found the Lippert Components step options. I found that many of the RV companies use Lippert door and frames so this made sense. There are some very good comparable companies making these but I chose Lippert for a more likely compatible fit. All needed hardware is supplied. Install consisted of removing the original steps...pretty easy and only 4x 9/16 bolts holding assembly on. Remove aluminum threshold transition piece (4 screws); Two options on install, use supplied screws and screw to floor (screws are more than adequate) or the option I chose, drill through floor using template and anchor down for more secure and confident fit. One should really have a second person/helper when installing due to size and awkwardness of steps. The steps are not heavy but needs to be held in position while holes being drilled. adjusting the latch was pretty basic and that was it. Easy. The three step would have worked just as well but having the extra 4th step really helps with the little grand kids we have. Only thing you really need to know before you order is the frame width of your door way. Oh, the screen closes just fine with just a very little bit of rub at bottom of door on sweep. NOTE-if you drill through, be sure to caulk or silicone your bolts and holes for obvious reasons (The obvious reasons being it rains sometimes, yes even when camping). Lippert also sells a storage box that bolts in to the space the stock steps used to be, as well as a hand rail and even a stair lift assist system to make lifting the stairs almost effortless, so they say...Wife and kids love the new steps, they are grippy and sturdy. Needs to be swept good before storage or all that dirt will end up on your floor. Would buy again. Almost wish I could fit a set in our bathroom entry however the setup is not viable for our bathroom. Some really good info/install on YouTube.

Was not disappointed with this especially after reading all the hype about these. I looked at both manufacturers (Lippert and Moryde) who make this style of fold out steps and I chose this for three reasons...well maybe 4.1. Top step is deeper than the competition, providing a13” step, almost like a landing. Which makes it easier for pets and kids to get in and out of the RV safely2. Ability to add lift assist at a later date if I need to. Allowed me to buy the less expensive version and if lifting was too hard I could add the assist unit. The Moryde unit did not have this option. For me the steps are not too heavy so I did not need the lift assist...I can actually lift my three step unit with one hand.3. Wider steps than the competition. I have a wider entrance door so I could get the wider style of steps.4. Price was important too.Really both steps are quality made and each had features that may attract one buyer over others. Both are known good brands. I made my choice and I am happy with it. This product is recommended. One Con...packaging is terrible and expect it to be ripped on a corner or even open. First one I got was open and my driver allowed me to look inside before acceptance which I refused. One foot was bent and one of the bags of screws was missing. I sent it back. Of course then Amazon exchange was painless and I had a new step delivered in a few days. Of course this box was open as well but no damage and no parts missing so we were good.Big Pro...real easy to install. If you do any DIY work at all and have a screw gun/drill, measuring tape and small socket set you can have this installed in 30 minutes. Take a moment to go to the Lippert website and watch the installation video and you will see the ease of installation. One thing to know. My RV travel trailer has the gas strut that keeps the entrance door open. It attaches to the bottom of the door and to the threshold of the entry floor. Neither step can be used with this is place. The strut mounts are in the way. My recommendation is to purchase the Lippert friction hinges (was not on Amazon at the time so bought direct from Lippert) that installs easily and they will keep your door positioned where ever you leave it so this replaces the gas strut. Actually I would have one if I did not have the step! Was not a fan of the strut and it did not allow me to open the door further than 90 degrees which was kind of in the way. This product is also very recommended and easy to install.Lastly learn what measurements you need to take to make sure you order the correct steps. Again the Lippert website is the best source for this. Take the time to do this before you order because not all RV’s are the same. Both the steps and the hinge are great upgrades!
