Product is simple to use plug in and connect to your current wifi and it mirrors the password of your current wifi easily.Problem is that it randomly drops connection at least once every hour while in use.Basically makes the product is useless to do work from.My job requires me to access online files and losing connectivity once every hours stops everything I'm doing.

OK First, It wouldn't hook up via WPS, I tried multiple times. I then did the manual set up that was ok but then it told me I was too close. Then I finally got it set up and was doing speed tests on the EXT networks and it knocked out my main wifi. I had to turn the Netgear router off and back on to fix it. I'm not a network specialist but I know my way around wifi and this one turned out to be a dud!

It took me quite a while to finally get this thing to work. I actually opened a chat with Linksys support and was pleasantly surprised at the assistance I got. We eventually figured it out and the setup was complete. Next I put the extender in what I felt was a logical location so I could get the signal I needed throughout the house. I am amazed at how well it works. If you can just get through the setup, you will really be impressed with how much wifi you get. I figured at 80 bucks this better work, and - it does! Worth the money.

I have two separate ISPs, one has a Netgear Nighthawk, which connected flawlessly with the WPS buttons. The other network (which is what I need this for) is a CenturyLink Technicolor modem/router combo. It was a huge pain to get this connected. WPS was no help, adding the MAC/pin was no help, the extender would never accept my network password, either. I ended up turning off MAC authentication, removing security to create an open/unsecured network, and it finally connected. From there, I had to add WPA2-AES only back to the modem/router, and then was able to login to the extender snd match the passwords. After all that, it does pick up the weak modem signal pretty well, but also does not broadcast it very well either. It will work for what I need right now (feeding an outside wireless camera), but it's definitely not an amazing product.

Clear instructions. The router is at the back of the house which is shaped like a "T". Needed to get a strong signal to the front of the house to be able to stream.bb
