Avevo visto su YouTube un’artista australiana utilizzare questo libretto per l’acquerello, ed è effettivamente delizioso! La carta è bella e la piccola dimensione mi permette di fare acquerello anche quando ho poco tempo, per esercitarmi. Vederli poi insieme uno dietro l’altro e’ molto carino.

It's a nice paper and I love that I can move the pages around or add my own pages.

Lovely quality and as it's a ring binder - so useful you can remove the paper for working on and then return to the pad afterwards, you could also add more pages if you wished. Very nice quality paper and good weight for watercolour. Overall very pleased.

Although small this sketchbook packs the punch. The paper handles watercolor and gouache paints beautifully. Excellent versatility and portability.

The book has a soft-textured, vibrantly colored cover reminiscent of patterned fabric. It closes with sturdy elastic and its pages are a good weight and hold up well to watercolor (though there is some warping when you do washes or any other treatment that requires you to saturate the paper to move color around loosely). The warping isn't bad, especially when you use the elastic band as soon as the paint is set and dry enough that it won't lift. I've used heavier weight papers and had similar results. As for how the pigments work, they are vibrant and stay on the surface long enough to be blended. The paper doesn't pill or wear down with normal use. I've had the privilege to use better paper but this is an excellent and cash-friendly alternative.

I've been using watercolor books frommany mfrs, always looking for the " perfect "one for me .. This one is really fabulous ( I wish I could get other sizes with hot pressed watercolor paper) .. I've used it for my line and wash sketches , as well as my gouache pieces.. This paper takes all of it really well . I'll definitely be buying more of them!!! thx for a good product at a decent price !! Norakag

When my wife told me she purchased me a new watercolor sketchbook because she thought it was cute I wasn't too pleased. Not because I want grateful, I was; but all artists know just how lucky we are about our supplies. When we find what's perfect for us we stick with it. I only use Arches or Langston Prestige 300lb paper. Preferably rough but find cold press acceptable. When she gave me this little book I thought I'd nothing else I can use it to test color mixes. Low and behold my shock and amazement at just how amazingly exceptional this watercolor paper actually is. There hasn't been anything I haven't been able to do on it from wet on wet, wet on dry, dry brushing I even use oil paint on it. It'll handle anything from layering, lifting, scrubbing, scraping you name it. I like it so much I just returned to buy 5 more. So here's a great big thank you from my wallet and soul to my lovely wife. Oh yeah, and to lightwish as well.

Although the paper would not stand up to a lot of friction, it is a suitable book for some amateur plain aire sketching and wash painting. I really like the hard cover and the binding.

I adore this little sketchbook. I got the small square one this time after I had bought the bigger square ring binder version before, with which I was so impressed also. I am turning it into a wildflower journal. The cotton paper is amazing for my Shinhan and Daniel Smith watercolors. The colors look very fresh and vibrant on this white paper that has just the right amount of texture for both loose and super detailed work. I highly recommend the round 8 Princeton Aqua Elite brush! It’s better than a tiny line brush for detail work due to the extremely fine point that keeps its point after loading it with paint. Many brushes don’t. With this one brush you can easily do an entire painting without switching back and forth between brushes. Used in this sketchbook you truly get better results. To me the paper and brush are what counts the most, not so much the paint itself. You can get great results with bargain brand paints, too! Get this sketchbook and enjoy!
