I began replacing old socket light fixtures and adding recessed lighting to my house.While these have a great purpose if you 'mess up' a cut i wouldn't have bought these or known about them since i use a drill bit and dust catcher that will never make a hole too big.I removed a hideous very deep bulb housing unit and to the naked eye looked like the recessed lighting size but the hole was larger and the recessed lighting didn't fit. I came across these on Amazon and knew they would fix the issue. I had ideas and using wood as a trim to fill under the light but the work to do that is not worth it to me.Inserts one of these to make your project fast and easy. The color matched the recessed lighting well and is off good quality.

I had some construction guys in my attic who stepped though our can lights. This was the only ring for 4" cans that I could find with the larger 6.7" diameter exterior. What I ended up doing was taking these plastic rings and using construction adhesive to attach to the ceiling. Then attached a metal smaller ring to the face of this plastic ring to increase strength and stability to the plastic (the drywall was very broken)This method ended up working great and the double rings looked great as well.

Worked well for my needs. Wish it came with gaskets vs the adhesives.

GOOD PRODUCT, VERY HANDY AND HELPFUL! This review is about the BAD LOGISTICS of the 3rd party Warehouse. I was sent a 6 pack not a 8 pack of rings TWICE! on 2 separate orders the same issue happened. The quantity sent was 6 not 8, the package reads 6 pack not 8 pack but the label used for fulfilling orders for this product that is attached to the front of the product by the warehouse says that it’s an 8 Pack when it’s only a 6 Pack. I would suggest this company check thier stock at the warehouse & you will see they are mislabeled. Time is Money when your doing construction work. This error has caused to have to to extra work and wasted valuable time.
