Ordered this to replace the seat that came with the kayak. Pretty easy to install. Husband said it was pretty comfortable as well. We even got a small gift from the business. We have used that small dry phone bag a lot.

What you get for the money is fair. Had to pay extra for shipping so that cut into the value for the $ for me. Mounted very easily. Comfortable but not quite 5 star comfort. Raises seat height a little which is better for fishing and is stable. 4+ star easily.

Purchased for my Lifetime Tamarack Kayak and I love it! Shipping was fast, arrived sooner than promised, and it was packaged well. Installation took 5 minutes and the instructions with photos were well written and easy to follow.Highlights: Seems sturdy and made of materials that should last. Much more comfortable than original seat. Love being able to lay the seat back down and lock it in that position when hauling it. Stability after the install was not a problem and I love sitting up a little higher out of the water that pools in the original seat area. Fit Lifetime Tamarack perfectly and is the best upgrade I've done yet. While the seat is comfortable as is, the base was perfect, but I wanted to add additional padding on the backrest. The backrest was fine for a couple of hours at a time, but if you spend longer than that using it I recommend adding additional padding to the back like everyone recommends for pretty much every seat option for kayaks that I looked at online. I spent a few bucks on a pad on Amazon and added it to my set up and I can't be more pleased. The seat was 1/3 of the cost of other kayaks seat options, even after buying an additional backrest pad, and I am very pleased with the value and overall product.Thank you for a wonderful experience and low cost option to upgrade my kayak!

Upgraded my lifetime tamarack Kayak with this seat and it was a perfect fit. Arrived quickly and was packaged well.Installation: I appreciated the included easy to follow instructions with pictures for reference. Everything was included that I needed and from start to finish it only took 5 minutes.Quality: The seat, fabric, and hardware are all quality materials, the seat seems very sturdy and well made. I believe this should last a long time.Stability and Comfort: With the additional raised height of a couple of inches I was worried this would affect the stability of my kayak. I was pleasantly surprised that it did not and the added height keeps me out of the puddled water in the kayak and makes fishing, paddling, and accessing other areas of the kayak so much easier. I added a couple of plastic spacers under the front of the seat where it attaches to the kayak to increase the backwards angle of the backrest to fit my preference which I recommend if you want to lean back more. This seat does not come with adjustable straps on either side which is how I preferred it because the straps on my old seat used to always slip while rowing and give me a heart attack, or the original plastic buckles on the straps would break or come loose randomly. No longer a problem after this upgrade. Also, I adding some plastic spacers under the front cleats (which I picked up at Lowe's for 40 cents each but you could really use anything to do it), so I was able to adjust the backwards tilt of the seat to my preference and no longer have to worry about slipping straps like on the old seats so I get the best of both worlds. The elastic seat base is comfortable how it comes but it looks like you can tighten or loosen the bungee to make it tighter or looser to your preference.Very very happy with this purchase, especially since it was over half the price of other options!

Used it maybe 3 or 4 times, before it started to buckle. Now it's in the trash. Sits up too strait (until it decided to buckle) and is actually less comfortable than the stock plain plastic seat that my kayak came with! The bar on the back has no curve and no padding! I had to put cushions on it to even use it! Going back to the stock seat. I'm a normally sized adult, so it shouldnt be a weight issue, it just plain poor product design paired with subpar materials! Do not buy! Might be OK with lots of padding, if you weigh less than 100 pounds!

I bought this kayak chair to see if I could sit for a longer time in comfort. The chair is easy to install and does rise you up about 2 inches allowing more comfort for your legs because they are not laying straight out on the deck. The bottom of the chair is more comfortable because the seat has more flexibility. The back rest comes about halfway up to your back with a bar crossing your back. This caused discomfort in my back immediately. The back seat also sets straight up. After about 1 hour of fishing my bottom started to get uncomfortable. It is a little better than the original seat so I will keep it. I must be far on my review. I am 66 years old, and this chair might work better for a younger person.

Lifetime kayaks are durable and portable, but their built in seats suck. The backs always come loose and pop off when you lean back on them. The other replacement seats are a pain in the butt and uncomfortable. We had to move the seat around to find a stable place to mount it. But it is sturdy and comfortable! And won’t pop off!
