Kept my food frozen after hurricane and we were without power for 4 days. It’s lightweight and easy to move around. Virtually no setup, just removing packaging and plug it up. Perfect size for family of 5. I searched for a stainless steel deep freezer to match my other appliances but I couldn’t find one so I purchased this grey one instead. Worth the money.

This chest freezer is way smaller than I expected. To give you an idea, I placed a foldable chair next to it, and the freezer is barely shorter! If you’re expecting something more spacious, you might be disappointed. However, it does freeze well, and I hope it’s durable since I just got it. Time will tell, but for now, it works as expected.

I’m just going to say this because it needs saying: Why does anyone use FedEx? As others have indicated, my freezer arrived with a big dent on the lid edge, in front. It also arrived late. Par for the course with FedEx, and I’m kinda wishing I waited and grabbed the 5 cu. ft. option from the big chain store I saw for thirty bucks less. But the thing is here now, and I’m waiting 24 hours as instructed before plugging it in, so this is just my initial impression:Size and design are decent. The basket is useful and a welcome addition. The cord is thick and sturdy, and long enough for my needs. The lid opens and stays put, and there’s plenty of space to work with (though make sure you have 24” clearance above.)The clear plastic sheet covering the metal was torn in some places, and I ended up having to remove it on the front which was a chore. The manual is sometimes barely comprehensible in broken English, but you get the gist of most of the instructions. The manual makes no mention of the little vent or outlet in the front on the bottom, and I assume that’s where it drains when you turn it off. I am hoping it won’t drain an other time because this thing is sitting on a carpeted floor, but who knows? The instructions don’t say.The grey color looks good, and blends in with my home’s surroundings and decor instead of standing out like white would. The control dial is big and clearly marked, and easy to operate. The wheels on the bottom are a nice touch to make it easier to move around.The shipping box is nigh impossible to keep intact upon opening, so returns are a mystery to me. It definitely needed more padding around the freezer, because as noted by myself and others, FedEx blows chunks and WILL ding and dent this item by the time they finally get around to delivering it.So right now, I’m saying 5 stars for the actual item, but -1 star for the poorest of choices in shipping company and the lackluster padding in the box to protect it from them.

The freezer itself is working well. Perfect size for smaller spaces - just what we needed for our garage and to store extra breast milk as well as other frozen items. Keeps things frozen without issues.What I wanted to comment on is how responsive and involved customer service had been. The delivery of the first freezer unit was by FedEx, and unfortunately had a large dent in the front and appears to have pierced through insulation. I believe that this was damage during transit with the carrier, and this was discussed promptly with the seller. We requested a replacement given that not only was it aesthetically unappealing that the damage was on the front of the unit, but it potentially might have lost performance integrity. At first customer service offered a partial refund for us to keep the unit, however we re-requested either a full refund or a replacement, for which they willingly obliged. The 2nd unit was delivered quite quickly (again by FedEx), this time with only a small dent on the side that did not seem to affect the insulation or performance. We were happy to keep this unit.Again, we appreciate how responsive and involved customer service has been. They truly work towards customer satisfaction. My only feedback is maybe consider a different courier since this particular one seems to continue damaging products in transit.
