Nice basin, I like the fact the you can easily access the floats and inspect for issues without having to disconnect pipes. Huge plus over so many other systems. Well thought out design. Shipping issues as mentioned in the past comments seems to have been resolve. There was a large piece of foam between the pump and basin and all packed well inside. The only thing I was not a fan of was the pipe locations to the preformed inlet. I did not use the preformed inlet and used the optional locations with a seal so I could move the pipe locations closer to a wall and access the float access panel easier. All and all this is a great system, and for the price you can’t beat it!

When this arrived it had some score marks on the inside bottom of the basin from the pump feet--[they really need to do something about this shipping issue.] I was worried it would or did work thru to the exterior. I doped it up with epoxy putty just in case. Filled it up before installation to test it out held water for about a week... Popped the pump in with some trial PVC standoffs elbows to try it out in the driveway... OMG it shot about 40' w/2" pvc and drained the basin in no time flat. Install, definately leave some room around the sides to fit/backfill. I would highly recommend the 'quiet check valve" 2"... Not the liberty bcv400[?].. that thing is soo noisy.

Works fine, make sure you get it installed correctly. We had to shorten the setting for the tank float ball to shorten the duration for it to kick on and empty. Also make sure you set it up with enough space to work around if you have to adjust or make repairs as this unit will normally go just below ground with the top above ground.

After buying three of these I wish they would ship the pump differently then the basin and here’s why(We did upgrade the pump on one of three to the 1HP grinder pump and it was easy to switch out)If you’re reading this make sure there are no holes in the bottom of the pump basin when you get it. The pump and basin come preassembled. Great right? Unless the pump puts holes in the bottom of the basin which it’s done to us twice now, and they’re hard to notice. Just take the pump out of the basin prior to installation and check for holes in the rings where the pump sits. This will make more sense when you get the tank and pump. Just fill the holes with jb weld and let them cure. I’m sure this happens in shipping. It’s really easy to miss!If you’re not a plumber or don’t know about plumbing don’t touch this. It will handle turds and toilet paper and doesn’t need a grinder. We also bought signs that said you can only put toilet paper in the toilet.Get the check valve and on off recommended by amazon. And get the alarm. Don’t just try to buy them locally. Trust me. The check valve has a certain sprint pressure and both of these use compression fittings so you can replace them without replacing everything. We actually had to take off a check valve and forget I got the union ring one so that was a huge relief. On that installation we actually could not fit an on off and when we had to switch out the pump the check valve just unscrewed on one side and 70 gallons of sewer was sitting in the line and we all just kind of looked at that little part and breathed a sigh of relief.Keep in mind you’ll need to do the math on the head calculation on this, and do it properly. When we had to upgrade to a new pump it’s because I didn’t factor in the total amount of water in the line. 2 inch pipe and wheels measurements later I realized I needed this to push 70 gallons of water at an incline before it went downhill again. The 4/10 hp pump it came with works with most of our other jobs but on this I had to get the 1 horsepower pump which is, 2.5 times more powerful snd comes with a grinder. The pump only took a second to switch out and we kept the old one as a spare for the two other basins we have.

Basin, pump and all internal features pre installed. Liberty customer support excellent. Arrived when promised as promised. Installation at site requires large enough excavation to assure exact connect to gravity line from house. Wiring allows plugin as easy as a toaster provided you have available receptacle. Discharge and venting well illustrated and if you can work with PVC pipe and fitting's, straight forward. Just dig and then fill!!

Overall I like this ejector pit. My only complaint is the top does not seal well. I filled it completely full with water to test and the water just poured out from the lid. I removed the lid and took a close look and found that the ridge of the basin where the lid seals was very wavy and left gaps where the lid seals to the basin, even when the bolts were torqued per the manual. I ended up putting RTV on the seal and will retest soon. If that doesn't work I will have to use silicon around the outside perimeter of the lib, which will make it a pain to remove when the pump needs to be replaced.
