Although this 60 Hz LG 27UL500-W isn't the greatest for gaming, it has proven to be a very good all-around computer monitor. I much prefer an IPS monitor like this one to a VA monitor because of it's superior color representation (compared to a VA monitor which has better contrast).

I’m no gamer or anything but I have 3 of these. Vibrant colors, clear picture, easy setup! Would def buy another.

I am a graphic designer, and needed a good monitor to work on stuff. My whole day is in adobe, and this monitor is perfection if you're not trying to break the bank. The color is good, and picture is super clear. I was really pleased with it's quality. Also a nice size.

Fantastic looking monitor. You may notice they sell two versions of this, one much more expensive model with the only difference being the stand. The included stand on this model is not height adjustable and it is plastic and fairly wobbly, and is likely the key point in the cost savings over the better stand. I still think the value is worth it, but purchasing a separate VESA compatible monitor stand or mount may be in the future for those who need height adjustment or desks that are not steady.

As a photographer, I love the color accuracy and sharpness of this monitor. It truly delivers high-end image quality despite its affordable price tag.

I'm very happy with this monitor, especially for the price I paid (Black Friday weekend special). It doesn't have the deepest blacks, but it goes bright and is nice and crisp, as you'd expect from a 4K. Works flawlessly with my MacBook. The one niggle is the included stand, which was too low and too wobbly for me. An inexpensive VESA mount stand soon fixed that. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good value monitor to use daily.

I still consider this product absolutely gorgeous, but the LG repair service has been piss poor. Whats worse, I have to go through the repair service twice!Long story short, my unit was having an issue where the monitor will not lit after quick/abrupt shutdowns. If I pull the power cord, or really having a power outage while the monitor is on, it will not turn back on. Twice I was able to bring this monitor back to life with a cold reboot; it finally broke after the third try. Luckily I was covered by the very generous 1 year LG warranty and was able to send this unit back around Sept 23th; the unit was received according to LG on the 30th, despite it being delivered several days earlier. After that, dead silence for a good 3 weeks. I checked the status of my repair on LG's repair tracking site, nothing was updated and my appointment was still pending. Frustrated, I called the customer service and was told a part needed for the repair will arrive on Oct 26th, a Saturday; now I call that bullcrap as my monitor was fixed and shipped that Friday. The next Tuesday I got it back, I found there are two pieces of dust INSIDE the LCD glass. If you care enough to zoom in and see my misery, those two bastards are clearly not your average dead pixels. They are way larger and magnitudes more in annoyance. So here I am again, starting another repair case; I merely own this beauty for 4 months and am forced to waste another month for repair! With that said, if you win the monitor lottery and would not have to go through LG's service, this is a true beauty. You get a great IPS panel, stunning UHD for the price of a dell 2k; LG's OSD and features are quite impressive (better than ACER, sorry ACER) as well. But unfortunately I'm a sore loser and don't have much else to do except for venting my frustration on amazon. If your defective unit is doomed to break, at least do it before the return window closes.
