This is exactly what I was looking for...a cover to go over my GFCI receptacles to update the color so that I don't have to actually purchase all new receptacles just to change the color. However these don't fit standard GFCI and don't fit into the rectangular opening of standard GFCI plate covers--> including Levitons own plate covers!! Why would you sell two things that should be standardized and go together seamlessly that don't fit one with the other? Obviously I'll be getting a refund, very disappointing. Without the ability to place a plate cover over the top these are literally useless and would just sit loosely on top of the receptacle I guess? Grade A stupidity from this company.

I thought this was a low cost 20amp gfci breaker, who in there right mind would want a sea foam blue outlet. When I opened its just a “color changing plate . Please change the description. This is a cheap 30 cent piece of plastic that looks white !

Without special mounting plate sold separately this cover is useless other thing is that thing don't fit

I always buy this brand each time, I like the color and even though my husband has a hard time installing it it’s not in the fault of this receptacle- it’s the the fault of the builder.

Exactly what I needed. This is a COLOR CHANGE kit for the Leviton Renu 20a GFCI. I don't know how the item title could be made more clear, that's what it is. It is NOT an outlet/receptacle...and I don't understand the negative reviews given the clear description. (Also, you'd never get a 20a GFCI in a designer color from a well-known and reputable company for $9)Check out the Leviton website and learn what the Renu line is all about - it is a great ability to change colors without having to re-wire, but you need to start with a Renu receptacle that can accommodate the various color face plates. They've got some great videos on their site explaining the swapping of color plates. I tried including a link in my review, but alas it is against policy to link externally, even if it is an official video from the manufacturer.

I probably didn't read the description well enough, but when they say a picture is worth a 1000 words, this is the exception. Costs more to return them than I paid for them. Beware, this is just a plastic cover.

Looked all over for this new product. After seeing a demo on TV, I had my electrician locate the basic white Leviton Renu GFCI plugs for our kitchen and bathroom update. As these are/were only on the market for a few months when we had to locate them locally . . . we soon found the color kits were absent for purchase. Too new.After much searching through typical resources, I found the much needed color plug and cover plate at Amazon.com. It was my first purchase and a great experience. As Arnold says, "I'll be back" :-)Another thing . . . the kit not only works as described, but looks great too.
