This type of filter basket works best with fresh, finely ground (0.4mm - 1.0mm diameter) coffee, roasted no more than 4 weeks before use. Pressurized Portafilter (Easy Crema): Our pressurized portafilters use a double-wall filter to increases pressure and regulate the rate of extracted water. Pressurized portafilter baskets are recommended for people who prefer pre-ground coffee or for first-time users. Pressurized filters help compensate for various coffee bean-related shortcomings such as neutralizing the effects of unevenly ground beans. We just made waking up a little better.

PLEASE READ (to the seller): In the item photo, the pressurized and non pressurized filter description is wrong. The one with the filter basket like look is the non-pressurized filter but it says pressurized in the product photos.To other buyers: if you want more control over your shots, get the NON-PRESSURIZED version! It’ll send you the filter with the little holes not the single hole filter.My review:Honestly I did crazy research on this item before I bought it. There’s an old version that had problems with stability and functionality but this version just amped all those features.I can say for certain that while it’s not as “real” as a breville espresso machine, for an average espresso drink lover, i love this thing. I can actually taste the undernotes of my different espresso beans!I used the mini tamper inside the machine (i plan to use a good one soon) and 19g was best for a good espresso!PROS: The crema is real. The convenience is real. The size is real. It’s pretty much a cost convenient version of an espresso machine, and for someone like me who moves around a lot, the perfect size.CONS: There’s no way to see how much espresso comes out or when to stop pressing out because the espresso comes out into the solid top?cup? below. You can’t even not use it because it’s the support system to pull the espresso down. This is actually a pretty big fault in one aspect because even if I measure let’s say 90ml to come out as espresso, the design of this system doesn’t pull out all the water, so i’ll get some random amount of espresso. It’s the only fault of this but a critical one, hence the 4 stars. I wish they had made the bottom portion clear even though it’s a big part of it’s aesthetic design or at least had a stand? Or something to hold the machine so I can pull the espresso down into my cup of choice.Compared to other manual espresso machines:Mokapot - this was too hard to control for me personally and took too long. Results varied too often.Nanopresso - shot size was small, but I could see the state of my espresso as it came downFlair Pro 2 - hahahahahahahahaha espresso quality is good but takes up alot of space and you have to push down HARD. (Takes tooooooo longnnngnngngg to make)
