I've been suffering from shoulder pain after playing bass for a long period and this strap fits the bill. It is soft, cushioned, and wide, greatly reducing the felt weight of my bass. It is well made. The regular size hangs the bass at about waist height fully extended so if you like to wear your bass any lower go with the long.

I bought this strap for the width and padding. It is pretty comfortable overall. The leather ends are very stiff, so it is kind of difficult to get on the guitar but hold well once on. I use strap locks anyway. One reviewer was mentioning it helped with neck dive so I was hoping it would prevent some of the neck dive I experience with my hybrid acoustic / electric Godin A6 Ultra, but it does not. I am still looking for a way to keep the neck up a bit higher and am surprised manufacturers have not come up with a device to adjust neck dive. Maybe the manufacturer will see this and come up with a solution. I am thinking a shoulder-shaped pad that can tighten or velcro onto the users strap that would fix the position of the guitar. Anyway, I am overall happy with the purchase.
