This is the second time I've used one of these and yes, they're waterproof, ice proof and snow proof. Well worth the cost of admition if you need one. In my book I highly recommend this product.

My septic system aerator stopped working, I was quoted a very high price for replacement and a re-wire. I bought this and replaced the plug that looked as though it had gotten wet. Reset the system and we are back up and running. This plug looks substantially better than the original and I believe it will hold up a lot longer.

Used regular extension cords during power failure after Houston's "Derecho" storm. Not a good experience due to connections getting wet and tripping generator gfci. Repeatedly.Had a bunch of 25' 10awg cords for travel trailers with burned of ends. Cut off damaged ends, put these weather tight / water resistant connectors on. 10awg Oshawa jacket pushed physical limits of connector back shells, but was able to secured by lubricating the jacket.Dropped mated assemblies into the pool and monitored resistance and leakage currents. No change on resistance, leakage was zero at 500v per Amphenol Megger.Going to take out a loan and put these ends on all my 20+ extension cords.

There is not much to judge on this item. All components fit together well. It was an easy assembly. The only complaint I have is that it took 10 days from the order date to delivery, which I found to be excessive.

Needed a new plug for a 12 gauge outdoor extension cord. Since this cord will be out in the weather, I wanted to be certain the plug would resist the elements. After reading reviews of less expensive ($3.98 model from a big box store), I decided to purchase the Legrand-Pass & Seymour PS14W47CCV3 replacement plug. This plug is really well designed and made with high quality materials. You get what you pay for here. Installation was straight forward and easy. Hardest part of the job was removing the protective jacket from the extension cord to be able to strip back the wires. Highly recommend this product.

This was used to replace a shorted out plug on a 10/3 extension cord that was caught up in melting snow ,then ice, then water. 21$ vs 150$, no brainer and now the plug is better than original. Super easy installation, I had to install it twice, only because i attached wires without the main piece.
