To early to tell, but the layout suggests that she will be able to record a lot of information about the wine she tastes and assesses.

Wonderful to use. Helpful tips and comments. Even has a sample wine critique to help you understand what the different categories mean.

I don't drink wine, but my parents have been wine connoisseurs since I was a child. These are the people who make hours-long treks twice a year to an out-of-state wine store because Pennsylvania's state store system is weird & you can't get a decent variety of wines in state. I've watched my mom note information about each bottle they drink in tiny, basic spiral notebooks for years & when I saw this Wine Journal, I thought it would be something nice to try out.The journal itself is A5 sized (5.8x8.3), so it's not pocket sized, but it's also not unwieldy to toss in a purse, bag or car. The paper is a fairly thick 120 gsm, so you're not going to be worried about ripping pages or your writing showing through. It will probably also stand up to minor wine spills! For those beginning their wine journey, there are some reference cards included which outline the types of glasses that should be used for different varieties, explaining the wine tasting method and a guide to the different colors of wine you can find. This is a quick-reference guide that can be taken out can carried as you are wine shopping. Once you start looking at the journal pages, you will find more detailed information, expanding on the quick reference guide. They also give information on wine aromas and tips for wine pairings. Now you get into the journal sections. First there is a space to note wine recommendations you receive from other people so you can refer to this when shopping. Next is a couple pages where you list the wines that you've tasted. Each line is numbered, but those numbers aren't listed on the individual wine pages, so if you wanted to be able to look at the tasting list as a table of contents, you will need to note what line number it is on the individual page. The individual wine tasting page is where all the details will go. It's one page per wine and there is so much information that you can include! There's plenty of room for you to write down your thoughts but the prompted areas ensure that you don't have to write all the basic details out when writing your thoughts & impressions.Overall, it's a great way to keep track of your wine journey. I know my mom really likes the individual pages and not having to write out the basic details for each bottle!

My husband and I like wine a lot but don't really know much about it. We're always looking for different wines and trying to learn more about wine tasting in general, but sometimes, we get kinda lost when evaluating them.I have been looking for a Wine Tasting Journal for us for some time now, and I'm glad I found this one. This product is perfect for an interested beginner in the subject of wine tasting. It has a lot of relevant information about wine in general and how to better evaluate it. The Tasting Notes section is great and concise and guides us on what to look for when making a review. There is also a Recommended Wines section and a List of Tasted Wines section, and these are good relevant information to have registered somewhere. I also appreciate that there are a couple of blank dotted pages for notes in general. The journal is very attractive with a beautiful engraved cover. The cover is thick, resistant, and made of a material that reminds me of PU Leather. The dimensions are as described, and the purple color is just like the pictures. The pen loop is convenient, and the bookmarks are very useful to mark multiple journal sections simultaneously since they have different purposes. The back cover has an inside pocket that is very practical, and the elastic band does a good job of keeping everything in place. I liked a lot the stickers that came with the journal; they're useful and also very cute.I'm pleased with this product's quality and functionality. The design of the journal and the lots of information are great, and the journal itself is compact and easy to use. I liked this product so much that I already bought another one as a gift. This review is for [Legend Wine Tasting Journal – Wine Guide & Diary – Unique Accessories & Gifts for Wine Lovers, Women & Men, Eco Leather Notebook (Purple)] [Size: A5 (5.7'' x 8.3'') | Color: Purple].

I enjoy wine and ordered this journal for myself to keep track of the wines as I try them. The journal is incredibly thorough and has guides, places for detailed notes, and stickers! It's a valuable resource if you drink wine often and want to keep track of the ones you've liked. There are a few aspects of the journal that I don't use (yet) just because it seems overwhelming and I'm not sure I understand all of the terminology as a beginner to wine tasting. The guides are helpful, but they do assume the user has more advanced wine knowledge than I currently do. If this is something you're interested in learning, this journal is a great resource to get you started by tracking the wines you try!

For context, I am very experienced with wine and go tasting frequently. I got this journal so I could track my favorite wines, or wines that caught my attention, while out and about. It's a great journal. For beginners, it has some great notes to teach color, and basic flavor/scent notes. For those of us who know more, there's more detail you can record including the heat of drink, the finish, etc. The paper is thick, my fountain pen with carbon ink doesn't show through, and its classy to look at! Fits well in a purse or a wine bag, and its well organized. Great addition to any wine journey.
