By default, I now prefer a lens support with small wheels. I had the non-wheeled design in my kit, but I gave it away after acquiring this. This mount is suitable for any kind of lens with any sort of zoom and focus ring placement. It is universal, is what I'm saying. The support eases strain on the lens mount and also reduces shake or wobble with heavy lenses. The dimensions of my different rigs vary in length, so having a lens support that makes frictionless contact with either ring is a serious benefit. Paired up with follow-focus gearing, the overall benefit of this wheeled support is essential to me. I can easily recommend this to anyone who uses a custom modular camera rig.

This Y-Shaped Lens Bracket is a masterpiece compared to any other long lens support out there. It is height adjustable and you can rest your lens on any point you choose, even right on a focus ring as the smooth rolling wheels will allow you to adjust focus and still support the lens. This is a high quality product and a great price as well. I now own a few other products from LEFTFOTO and they are all top notch. I can highly recommend this lens bracket to anyone with a rig with 15mm rails that needs long lens support.

This lens support piece for your 15mm rod system is a little different than the other similar support systems. This one has wheels, which gives this Leftfoto lens support a different "spin" compared to the competition. As I'm writing this review, I'm waiting for my baseplate and rods to arrive, but I can already tell this mount/support piece will come in very handy when using certain lenses.If a lens happens to have one of its rotating rings fall on top of the support, the ring can still rotate freely thanks to the two little wheels on top of the lens support. This could make the difference between being able to support a lens or not in some cases.As with my other Leftfoto accessories, this support is well made and well engineered.

We do mostly studio shooting, so we don't use a lot of long lenses, but this little bracket is good to have when we door outdoor vacation shoots.We built a rig with carbon fiber rods that we go online, and this little bracket is perfect for holding the weight of larger lenses mounted on a tripod.The height of the rollers is fully adjustable for nearly any size lens, so a great little design feature.Good quality build and well worth the small investment if you do long lens shooting.

This lens support is made out of metal, and the round pieces that touch your lens is actually clear wheels. You his allows you to protect the body of your lens from the support. Having the support wheels are handy if you happen to use the support and it rest on your focus or zoom rings. It will allow you to still rotate your lens but also provide support still. Only issue I had, is that u wish it had a longer adjustable height. I had to add a 15mm rode adapter to raise it so I can support my lens. But I’m sure it’s my fault for my particular rig setup. But still, would be cool if it had a longer reach. Still a great lens support to have!

I was not familiar with this company until recently. I have one other product from them and so far the build quality of their products is top-notch. I only have one lens that benefits from a lens bracket and did not have anything to support it until I acquired this. I don't see how a lens support device without wheels could/should be used for support. It's hard enough to align these rigs with everything you need to attach and the fact that this has little wheels that provide support and turn with the focus ring (or zoom) is ideal. Most definitely going to consider some other products from Leftfoto as I build out my camera rigs.
