This lift hook is much better looking that I expected! I almost hate to scratch it up or get it dirty! It is coated with a thick red paint that is so thick that it smooths out the normal texture of the casting. If I didn't know better, I might think it was made of plastic, it's so refined looking. But good looks is not what I got it for. Functionally, this hook looks like it will suit me just fine. This hook is just what I needed to compliment a heavy duty chain that I have. The swivel turns freely and is attached with a castle nut and a flush mounted roll pin so there is nothing sharp to catch on you when hooking it up. The hook itself has a plenty wide opening and my next surprise was the no-nonsense spring on the retaining clip! You really have to press firmly to get it to open. All in all, this hook is very well made and should serve it's purpose just fine for a long long time. I am very pleased with it!

This is a well made G80 swivel lifting hook. This thing is solid… well made. The safety catch is firm, the swivel action is smooth, the shape of the castle nut at the base is designed to support the hook firmly.The finish is typical and has some minor flaking in the deep recesses, but that’s no big deal. This is exactly what I needed to lift things with the bucket of my tractor. I already have the necessary straps.

"Heavy duty" is a comically abused and overused phrase, so it's nice to run across a product where that tag actually applies. This really is a heavy duty lifting hook.The hook is thick and solid, swivels smoothly, has a tough and responsive clasp. It's also got a thick and smooth coating of paint. I look forward to years of use for this one.Extremely impressed by this product.

I needed a swivel hook for pulling logs out of the forest. I wanted something big that will take some abuse, but easy to use. I saw this and another swivel hook and ordered them both.This hook is significant. Heavy duty metal and beefy. It should easily handle a 2 ton load without any issues. The swivel is smooth also very strong. The entire thing is covered in a good coat of paint that seems like it will last outside without a problem. Very impressive hook. The latch is easy to get slip hooks or chains in and out. It has a strong spring, but you don't need a lot of force to open is up. It is not likely to open itself up due to use.The only concern that I have is the latching mechanism. It has a strong spring on it, so I don't think a chain will slip off, but the latch metal is thin, relative to the stress being put on the hook. So if the chain shifts onto the latch, I'm not convinced it will not bend it The latch metal is bent on the sides to provide more strength and support, but the metal is too thin for 2 tons of force. That being said, the stress on the hook is inside the hook, away from the latch and so is very well designed for the weight. In my situation, I'm likely to be dragging logs across other logs/trees/brush and that might torque the chains around against the latch (and the reason I wanted a swivel hook). So 1 star off.I ordered two different swivel hooks (for various projects), see the last picture. The other hook has a better latch locking mechanism, but its stress point is the pivot point pin rather than the hook itself. The hook rotates to open up the hook to get the chain inside. So the hook might hold 2 tons, but the pin might give. The Leero hook is a solid piece of metal from the hook to the swivel D ring. The Leero hook has a much thicker metal for swivel D ring and seems more beefy for stresses.I think this is a great heavy duty hook that should support 2 tons easily. Glad I got this one.

This Leero 2 ton swivel lifting hook is perfect for lifting heavy items and ensuring that the force applied allows it to freely spin without binding your rope and/or chain. Everything about this item was perfect except for it having mars on one side that appear to be due to the way it is packaged. The item arrived in a small plain black bubble envelope with no other packing. It looks like likely rubbed against another item in the shipping crate that made it to the distribution center. It is not terribly damaged but the powder coating is missing in that spot and will rust at some point. Otherwise, this is a great product and a great price and I am happy with how it has enhanced my garage hoist lift system. 4/5 stars.
