Beautifully clear , clean, modern, sleek looking. The product came well packaged. Better than I expected. The only problem, it was missing a small part. It did not cause an issue because I was having an electrician do the install, and he had extra pieces on his truck.

The housing is constructed of extruded aluminum. It’s not super thick, but it’s rigid enough for the housing. The end pieces are extruded plastic. It has 8 LED’s that light up the sign from the top. There is reflective aluminum tape around the edges of the polycarbonate sign so it doesn’t lose light from the edges.You can top mount it, end mount it, or back mount it. I like the universality of it; however, if you end mount it, you’ll have trouble routing the wires because there is an unused plastic case in the way. It can’t be moved because it’s part of the battery pack housing and sealed to the back with double-faced tape.It uses 4 AAA Ni-Cd batteries wrapped into one 4.8v battery pack. There’s a test button on the end to test your battery. If you disconnect power, the battery pack kicks in with the same level of illumination as 110v power. A red light indicates when the battery is charging.It has two arrows already attached to the sign, but you have to peel off the extra paper. The directions (which are good) indicates that you need to install them. I would prefer to install them because my sign isn’t going to be to direct people towards an exit, it will be above the exit, so no arrows are needed, or wanted. Usually, you’re only pointing one direction towards an exit, so for most installations you’re going to have to peel off one of the arrows and waste it. I’d prefer to have them included, and let me install them. (I know, they’d be crooked if installed by some people.)Another issue, though minor, is if you’re coming from the back of the sign, the letters are backwards. One last quirk, there is only one twist nut included (on the black wire). Strange.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, the build quality is very good, it looks really good, and it does a good job of lighting up the sign, especially in the dark.
