My thoughts after wearing this numerous times on my dirt bike on hot, Georgia single track rides.I believe this offers good protection which is paramount. The material breathes but is not the most breathable I’ve worn.I’m 5’11” and 190, bought a large and the zipper is difficult to zip as it’s on an angle. Surely there’s a better way as it takes some wrangling to get it zipped. The Velcro waist band is small and could be a little longer so it overlaps for a better, more snug fit.I feel an XL would have been too big.Overall, it’s good, a bit hot but not quite great. Hope this helps you!

The good this top looks like it will keep you safe the bad the l/xl is way to small to zip closed and the xxl is made for a 7 ‘ cyclops so I had to return this item because I can’t zip it closed and I’m not fat

Let me tell you about this chest protector. I went back and fourth for awhile on whether or not I needed this much protection. Well, I'm very glad I did. I went on a mountain biking trip this past weekend and took 3 nasty spills. I got up like nothing happened. This thing just ate up the rocks. Saved me one time from OTB crash and landing on a sharp rocks. Second time I got into some loose gravel and slid out and my elbow went into the rock. Not a scratch on it. Truly amazed at how well this protected me.Sizing:Some reviews say that it is not true to size. I can tell you it fit me very well at 5'10, 175lbs. I went with Large size. Very easy to zip, just don't zip your skin. I wore nothing underneath a jersey on top.If you want good protection, I highly reccomend this. Especially, if you plan on eating some dirt on some wild trails and jumps.Just send it!

Best armor yet. Had gone thru many many miles and branches and got ran over by a car (not me) just the armor and left no damage. Gotta wear thin shirt soo doest stick to your skin when taking it off.

The L/XL sizing didn’t work for me. I normally wear an XL, but found this one to be too small. I order the 2XL and it was too big. Not a fan of the side zipper either.

I am 6’ tall with a medium build. No beer gut whatsoever. The L/XL was way too small. I usually wear a size large, but this item was so small it would be impossible to zip without assistance. The awkwardly placed side zipper added to the difficulty. I only got it zipped about 2 inches before realizing it was not going to happen. This item will being going back.

I bought this to shield my chest, elbows, shoulders from branches while moving forward and those plus my back for if I end up with an unplanned dismount. So far it's done all of the above but no really serious tests, only wrist size trees at moderate speed against the elbow and thumb size or smaller limbs against the chest and shoulders. I've taken a couple of tumbles/rolls and haven't felt any of the It's comfortable enough that you don't focus on it while riding and can ALMOST forget it's on. With a long sleeve undershirt it comes off with ease but if you don't wear long sleeves anywhere it's touching directly to skin is tough to slide off without having to give it more of a tug than I like on this material. As long as it holds up as long as I think it will, I'll leave the 5 star rating.UPDATE: I've now had this 5 months and about 30 hours of riding. I'm leaving the 5 star rating. I've taken a few pretty decent dings and have utilized all of the impact protection to various levels. When I first bought it the plan was to wear a jersey over it to prevent damage to this more expensive item but in the heat of the summer and sun beating down there just wasn't enough airflow. I've been wearing just this for almost two months which made a huge difference in air flow but exposed the mesh. It took a pretty decent jab from a down branch but it was able to rip the sleeve, the good news is it hasn't spread and stayed local to the tear. Even after that, other spills down hills etc have not seemed to tear it open any further even when sliding on the torn area. I guess what I'm getting at is even with a weakened area of mesh, the protection stays in place and does not feel compromised.
