I’m getting back into painting and wanted some affordable, heavy, handmade paper. Nice, varying, textures. Would be better for ink than watercolors (no coating) but held up well enough that I plan on using the rest of the papers with my watercolors.

I wish I would of ordered larger sized paper because this paper handles well with watercolor and some other media like acrylic

The description states these cards are 5x7, but they are actually 5.5x7.5, which means they don't fit standard A7 envelopes. Unfortunately, I only discovered this after completing my project, which included painting the cards, customizing envelopes, creating a video, and taking photos—a total of about 10 hours of work. While I could trim the cards, this would ruin the deckled edge that gives them their charm. Additionally, I’d need to redo the video and photos to ensure accuracy. Had the cards been the size described, I would have given this product 4 stars, as the quality is otherwise really good. One card had a line embossed across it and I couldn't use it. However, this significant sizing issue has been frustrating and disappointing.

I will not repurchase this paper. It's difficult to paint on as one side has obvious lines on it that doesn't receive the watercolor. Blending is difficult due to the quality of the paper.

I ordered these for invites and the paper is so pretty and soft but I’m not a fan of the color of the 4x6. I ordered both 4x6 and 5x7 and will probably end up returning the smaller ones. I did take pictures of them in different lights and when outside they are closer in color but when they are inside they are actually yellow. Ordered them both at the same time in the only color of off white available. Maybe I got a bad batch but who knows. Great texture of the paper at the end of the day

Great quality and so pretty. These were perfect for table number signs and name cards. Printer friendly just beware ink gets on the edges sometimes.

Leather Village make very nice paper. I have bought several of their products, and have not been disappointed. I am a watercolor painter, and prize the beautiful deckle edges and texture, as it suits my type of painting. They have some that are much like 300#, and I recently got some that seemed like 140#, and thinner, like writing paper. You just have to read the descriptions carefully so you are sure you are buying what you want. As a handmade product, these papers don’t exactly fit into the categories of factory products. The journals are beautiful and come in a wide variety of papers. They are wonderful gifts, with beautiful cruelty free buffalo hide covers of many designs. If you are looking for something new and interesting, give these folks a try. Each product comes with a picture of the craftsperson who made your paper or journal, and a nice greeting.
