These pattern blocks seem durable. I also ordered pattern block cards. Blocks can be used on beginner level (place blocks on corresponding shape on the colorful side of the cards; intermediate ( place blocks on the black and white side); more advanced ( create a design without the use of a card or copy the design on a card by placing blocks beside the design and just referring to the card). Blocks can be sorted by shape or number of sides.

These wooden blocks are a great resource for math activities! It’s a great addition to my homeschool classroom! These are really durable, just like the more well known brands like Learning Resources and Lakeshore.

Sturdy wooden pieces

My daughter is three and enjoys playing with these blocks from time to time. I'm sure as she gets older, they will get more use. I was really excited about these at first because they are wooden and thick. They were also nicely painted (although two triangles were stuck together and other one had a chunk taken out of it) and the plastic carrying case is convenient. The reason I gave it three stars, however, is that the different shapes do not line up perfectly with one another. The thin tan diamonds have sides that are quite a bit shorter than the other shapes' sides. And the orange squares have sides that are longer than the other shapes' sides. This isn't a huge problem for my daughter right now since she isn't making intricate designs. But, I like to make my own, more complex, designs while she is playing (it's strangely fun!) and you cannot make tight-fitting patterns because of the size inconsistencies across the shapes. I have used pattern blocks in the past (have no idea of the brand) that did line up much better with one another, so it is disappointing that this otherwise good product has these sizing issues.

This is just the product I was hoping for. I've used pattern blocks in the classroom for many years. Children love to explore with them and there are endless learning opportunities, many that they discover as they play. These are very good quality. I bought them for my 4 year old grandson to play with when he visits. The number of blocks is perfect, more than enough for one child...plenty for 2 or 3 to play together.

I love these blocks, and more importantly, so do my kids! They learn to count, sort, stack, identify colors, piles of 5 and 10, and generally have fun. A truly wonderful toy!
