Spend a Day with Olivia
Olivia invites preschoolers into the life and daily routines of an imaginative, creative little girl. Routines are important for young children since they help them feel safe, guide their expectations and provide a sense of control. Olivia takes you along on her adventures, and incorporates daily activities such as getting dressed, brushing her teeth or painting a picture. Children also practice counting and comparing sets of objects, identifying numbers, adding and subtracting and measuring ingredients. Olivia also includes a fun dress-up game, where children get to dress Olivia in different outfits, take a picture of Olivia and then see the picture appear in Olivia’s room. This type of gameplay teaches cause and effect, where kids get to see the results of their actions, and provides a sense of ownership and empowerment to children.
Get a Leap on Math
Olivia incorporates math into playful games designed for young learners. Create artistic masterpieces by matching sets of objects, adding and subtracting numbers in classic color-by-number play. Trace shapes and numbers to help Olivia ice skate. Learn how to draw straight and intersecting lines, and then skate with numbers (from 1-9) and shapes (triangles, ovals, hexagons and more). When you’re done skating, count Olivia’s animal friends, and go surfing. Finally, cook up some fun by counting and measuring ingredients to make kid-favoritre recipes like smoothies, pizza and fruit salad!
LeapFrog’s Innovative Approach to Learning
Younger preschoolers (age 3+) engage differently than their older counterparts, so LeapFrog develops content experiences to meet their specific learning needs. Olivia features simple gameplay designed to promote engagement with young audiences, including one-step directions, highlighting icons to click on, and free-play. Four math mini-games are presented with easy-to-follow graphics. The games are auto-leveled based on each individual child’s performance, and children can level down if they need more support. In addition, tutorials help teach children underlying concepts. For example, in Olivia’s paint-by-number game, younger children paint works of art by finding the right number of dots. As children grow to recognize numbers, they paint works of art by finding the right numerals. At even more advanced levels, they paint by doing addition and subtraction.

First I must say my kids love there leap pads! they are great beginer game systems for kids, with great eductional games.okay now, both of my kids love this game, son ( 6yr old) and my Daughter ( 4yr old). I wish I had two copies of this game because they fight over who gets to play with it. ( and we have many games to chosse from )Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and my kids would agree. which is the most important opinon.

Birthday gift for my three year old grand-daughter. Works with Leap Pad 3, which is what she has. The game is easy for her to use, and makes learning her numbers fun for her.

Got this game for my two kids. They have fun with it but many of the activities are better for kids around 5. The 3 year old has a hard time understanding what she's suppose to do.

It is such a highly interactive game. My 5-year old and I have always loved the animated series so I just knew I had to get it for her. This game in particular helps with math skills but each activity makes learning math so much fun! I would say, out of the 3 LeapPad games she has, this is her favorite one.

My Daughter turned 3 just after Christmas when this was bought I was worried that it wouldn't be age appropriate for her, but not only did she get it she mastered the game. She loves Olivia books & loves this game. I'm so happy with this buy. There are so many activities you can do on it paint, surf, cook, skate, play dress up & it's all educational. I particularly appreciate the classic artwork in the paint. I would reccomend this for any 3-6 year old. We have so much fun playing this together.

Even though the age range on this game is 3-5 years, I bought this for my two-year-old daughter. She has been able to enjoy most of the game without help from an adult. I'd say that this is geared more to the younger end of that age range, for this reason. Older kids might be a bit bored with it.There is quite a bit to explore in this game. It's attractive and fun. My daughter likes playing dress-up, cooking, and finding new surprises around Olivia's house.

I sent this to my granddaughter and I have not actually seen it. The program looks good but I really am not in a position to judge. I did receive it in good order and within an acceptable timeframe.

Daughter loves the game, lots to do, but can get tired with it after a while. Had to pay top price but it's a hard to find game.

my 3 yr old daughter loves this game. and its very educational and she doesnt even know it. the paint by numbers part of the game is picaso and the mona lisa, i thought it was pretty cool to be able to introduce such famous pieces into my daughters life at such an early age. olivia also helps teach portions with cooking and measuring. this game gets my daughtera attention and holds it.

Purchased as a Xmas gift for our grand daughter. She dearly loves her Leapfrog Eplorer and Olivia. We hope she has hours of learning fun. Right now she can count to 100, does simple math, knows her ABC's and has started to read. Her 6 year old brother has been helpiong her. Give him a simple math problem and he will solve with NO help.

My daughter is 3 and she loves Olivia. So I thought this would be perfect for her leappad!. And I was right! she loves it. There are games to fit the learning stages she is at and ones she will be into. She loves the dressup area! the math is a little hard for her but with a little help from me or her dad she will eventually pick up on what the answers are. I would definitely recommend this to anyone whose child loves Olivia and even if they don't. great learning game.
