This is one of my sons favorite leapster games. Hours of endless play, we almost have to pry it out of his hands, so I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Would recommnd to any child who enjoys Dora and Diego.

My 3.5 year old daughter was determined to learn to play these games, and after about 2 weeks she achieved her goal. This is her favorite Leapster 2 game cartridge for the past month plus. I believe it has educational value for her and am happy with this purchase.

if you are a grandad like me that knows little about all the new kid's toys and buys a whole load of new Leapfrog product and a Leapfrog pad 2. Then when opening at Xmas, find that that the LeapFrog Leapster2 Dora the Explorer Game doesn't work on a Leappad 2 tablet. I can now see how even how all the words and numbers are similar but then I had never heard of a Leapfrog yet a Leapster until my daughter asked me to buy it for Xmas. As I bought it at the end of October, I can't even swap it, so one for the dustbin!!

If your kid likes Dora they'll love this game. Plays like an interactive episode of Dora and should keep them entertained for a while.

Purchased this leap frog game for my grandson. He absolutely loves it. Plays it constantly. He doesn't even realize it is really an educational tool. He just thinks he playing games while he is actually learning at the same time. He has ADD but this still seems to hold his attention for long periods at a time.

I purchased this for my 3 year old daughter, she loves it and so does her 5 year old brother, both of them are fans of Dora and Diego and this is an easy game with small challenges. The age is much better suited to my 3 year old and starts at level one with simple games such as find a yellow triange, this is then changed in higher levels to an uppercase letter, or a specific number or letter, this is helping my daughter with letter recognition and she does not see it as educational, a great learning tool.

We got this for my sister along with the leapster. She loves Dora so we just HAD to get this. My sister's 6 and maybe she's growing out of Dora because she tired of this game very quickly and so did I. It was too repetitive and not quite as intersting as the Sonic game we also got. So in comparison, Dora was "borrr-ing" as my sister said when she switched to play another game.So even if you child loves Dora, don't buy this game unless your child is under the age of 6. I think even the game was made special for kids still learning about up and down and counting and not for kids in school. It really itsn't worth it, and not very exciting. Remember to follow the age suggestions when in doubt, that helps. My sister was past the Dora game educational speaking, even if she still loved the character Dora.

All the reviews I read here warned me of the low-quality of this game as far as learning goes, but encouraged me to get it if my child is obsessed with Dora. Since she is, I did get it, and I have been pleasantly surprised.I was very surprised to discover that the non L-Max Dora game works with the L-Max, not only in handheld mode, but also when connected to the T.V.. A very happy thing indeed. Not only does the dora game reinforce the basic Spanish language skills taught in the T.V. show, it expands on them a bit, adding nicely to the SSL vocabulary. The basic educational tasks are very young and immature for the average student, and my 6yo played all of the games on it, completing all of the tasks within a week of intermittent play. Now she gets bored with it easily, only playing it from time to time to get her Dora fix.

Our daughter recieved a Leapster for Christmas and has spent hours daily playing with it since. So of course we ran out and bought new games asap! Unfortunately, I don't think Dora was worth the 25 bucks. She likes to play it, and if your son or daughter loves Dora they will enjoy it too...however, I don't feel that there is that much difference between Dora and the original games it came with. There is a version of leapfrog (crossing the lake), and matching pairs (two versions on Dora), and none of the spelling or math options that are on the original game pack. I found the educational value of the game it came with to be much better. And shame on them for missing a good chance to introduce Spanish! Unless your child love Dora or is under the age of 5, this game is a little too elementary.
