I bought the product 0.1 M NaOH for pH adjustment. However, 1) the pH of this product was 2.5!!!!! My pH meter was working properly as it was calibrated with pH 4.01, 6.86 and pH 9.18. I also tested PBS buffer, and pH of this buffer was shown 7.34 from my pH meter. Please check your product. I will put the lot information here tomorrow.2) The black cap was fragile. I just tried to make sure it was sealed properly, then it cracked....

I saw other reviews complaining about it be being mostly water. It's a 0.1M solution, and the pH for NaOH is supposed to be at or around 13 on the pH scale for this concentration. I tested it with my pH probe upon receipt, and I was sitting around 12.90.

It seems quite old. I’m using it for acid titrations in my home cheesemaking process and the soda is proving to be quite old causing the titration readings to be skewed. Will order more but not from this source. Sodium hydroxide is not this hard. I’m quite disappointed.

I received only 1 unit when it states clearly that I'll be getting 3. Also this is next to useless since it's over 99% water.

This product works exactly like it should. With phenolphthalein indicator, it will turn bright magenta. That’s an experiment that kids of all ages love.
