I needed a fastener to hold together two pieces for a project I built. It's basically a music cabinet that sits atop a subwoofer box on wheels, so I needed to be able to secure the top cabinet to the bottom box so it won't slide off as the box is rolled around.These are working just as I imagined. There may be a better option out there for what I'm doing, but as for now, these are holding up very securely. I like the glossy finish, and the ends align very well. It comes with the screws needed to secure the fastener, so all you'll need is a pilot drill bit and a good alignment and cutout technique. It would be nice if they sent a cutout template for these, as its a bit difficult to get an accurate outline of the cutout area without using a really thin pencil, but other than that everything is good
