We love this tape measure. It retracts slowly so I am not afraid of getting my fingers cut (again). The material of the tape doesn't bend easily which makes it great to measure longer spaces by myself. And what I like the most is the accuracy of the laser measurements. It is exact.I've had other laser measuring tapes and I always have to correct the measurements but not with this one. Finally, this is the one :-)

The item arrived on time, wasn't damaged, and was exactly what it was suppose to do. This item can be charged and the measurements are shown digitally on a screen. This cool aspect of it allows a person to see and calculate things right away instead of measuring stopping looking, writing, and than doing this over again. Measuring becomes a bit digital and upgraded. Neat stuff!!! :) Great gift for a construction worker, builders, or just regular people who redue their houses or building something.

Many features in a tiny easy to use old school package. If you are not familiar with these kinds of measurements, I would suggest reading the manual as that can help, but you also need to have some understanding of how things work for measurement, what kind of measurements are important, and how to use these types of gadgets to save you time in general. This feels like the your old school tape measures, but packed with tech to make your life a lot easier, if you know what you are doing. The buttons have a tactile feel, and it charges using a USB C charging slot which should be default for components these days, but you would be surprised. It has a rugged rubber coated utilitarian design with the simple big buttons on the side that are just in the right place for my fingers to find them easily. The tape measure retraction button is easy to press and and has a powerful pull back reaction trigger. The screen is easy to see at the steepest angles away from you with almost unnoticeable artefacts. The font on the digital screen is similar to your basic calculator font and easy to read, because most everyone is used to these kinds of fonts on calculators and digital watches. Overall, a quality product that leaves little to desire for. This review is for the “Laser Tape Measure 197Ft Laser Measurement & 16Ft Manual Measuring Digital Tape Measure Support to Pythagorean Mode, Area, Volume, Ft/Ft+in/in/M Unit Distance Meter for Woodworker ToolLaser Tape Measure 197Ft Laser Measurement & 16Ft Manual Measuring Digital Tape Measure Support to Pythagorean Mode, Area, Volume, Ft/Ft+in/in/M Unit Distance Meter for Woodworker Tool”.

The tape measure comes with a lanyard, USB-C charging cable and a user manual. It has an impact resistant rubberized panels surrounding the exterior and should be able to take a hit/fall at the job site. The top has the LCD display, side has all the controls for the laser & measurement modes and the front face has the laser module & tape release switch with a sturdy steel belt clip on the back. The tape automatically locks when pulled out and therefore no need to manually lock the tape into position. Pressing the release button allows the tape measure to retract. This is definitely a useful feature. The tape is approx. 0.75” wide. Not super wide and is able to hold itself to a max length of 76” before it will bend. It is nylon coated for a smoother surface and should also act as a protective coating. It has measurements on both sides of the tape with the bottom also showing 1/8” increment markings. This should help anyone that is more familiar with the metric system. The hook is triple riveted for durability and has 2 magnets so the tape can hold onto any magnetic surface and is rubber coated to prevent scratching surfaces. The laser has a max distance of 60m/197ft. I tested the accuracy vs the physical tape and found it was accurate. The laser has multiple measurement modes for length, area & volume. There are more advanced measurement modes for metope area & indirect Pythagorean. The tape measure is easy to use and provides accurate measurements. No needs to find batteries as there’s a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery. Feels durable and full featured. At the time of this review, the tape measure was priced at $69.99.

This measuring tape has been a great addition to my tool bag. I was a little worried at first, because why overcomplicate something as simple as a measuring tape? But honestly, this tape is great to use.First, it's very well built. It's sturdy construction has so far held up to the light abuse I've put it through. It doesn't feel cheap in your hand. The belt clip is nice and strong, and the wrist strap adds an additional method of keeping this tape at hand. It also feels like it's reasonably water resistant, so there shouldn't be too much issue using it in the rain. I just wouldn't fully submerge it in water. The technology in this tape is a little complicated to wrap your head around for the first little while. However, reading the included manual is a major help. It is written in pretty clear english, but there are some signs that this could have been translated. Some of the wording is just a bit off, but the instructions are good enough to understand how to use it.In my experience, the laser measure is just as accurate as the manual tape. This enables a world of different types of measurements using the built-in calculation features. It's also a nice feature that you can select if you're measuring to the front or back of the tape body. The body is also stamped with it's fixed size, in case you're using the manual tape for measurements. The final point to comment on is the manual tape hook end. It hook actually slides to make sure the zero reference is the same if you're using it butted up against something or hooked over an edge. While this measuring tape is a little on the steep side price-wise, it does feel like it's priced right for the value. I'm glad I've added it to my kit!

This should be the future of all tape measures.Having both a laser measure and a manual tape measure is a joy.Especially for any real estate agents out there - this is a must-have!Every real estate agent I have come into contact with will always have a separate laser measure (like the Dewalt I am showing and comparing to) and a manual tape measure in their show-and-tell toolkit. The tape measure comes in a standard box with minimal tape measure features printed on it.Include is the tape measure, USB-C charging cord, attached wrist strap and a very comprehensive and detailed instruction manual. As like all typical laser measures it has all the same available features like audio on/off, backlight on/off, measuring metrics in meters/inches/feet, 4-sided area, total volume, auto calc pythagorean measure, total distance, height. The tape itself is quite robust, all metal, typical of what you would see from any brand name measuring tape. The tape itself has a pull-out auto-break which is nice with a solid tape retraction with no slack after pressing the retraction button. The retraction is so good that even pulling the tape out a tiny tiny bit such as 1/4 of an inch, then pressing the retract button retracts the tape back into the housing. That's when you know this is very well-made.The tape end hook has a firm solid rubber overmold which is fantastic as this make this non-marking, plus 2 tiny magnets to help the hook stay put when manually measuring longer distances. The entire tape measure is made out of ABS plastic with again, rubber overmolds over the 5 buttons. The LCD display has a slight arched frame around it to prevent it from being scratched. The LCD display lens looks like it's made out of thin plexi so best to be careful anyways as I can see this being scratched if tossed in a tool box with other tools or nails/screws.Laser itself has a reach of 197 feet. That's 97 feet longer than my dedicated Dewalt laser.Tape measure length is only 16 feet with both imperial and metric measures.I did some extensive (unscientific) measure comparisons to check for laser accuracy with my usual go-to Dewalt laser as I have shown above in my photos.I performed short measurements and long measurements and this tape measure was bang on everytime give or take maybe 1mm or so.The only feature I wish this tape measure had would be a readout for the actual extraction of the manual tape. So if I pulled the tape out to 20 inches, the LCD would read 20 inches. And have the reading adjust as I move the tape in and out. Similar to how a caliper works. But no worries, as that's no big deal for such a good tool.Lastly, the Dewalt laser cost me just over $100 when I bought it about over a year ago. This laser tape measure is a bargain for all the features it has, plus having to carry one less tool.Did I say this is a must-have yet?

Way too many steps of push this 2 and 3 time or holds for seconds, too much to get this to function for only a 2way tape. Then upon my testing the digital measurement it was off enough to return it.

Ordinarily I'm not a big fan of fancy gadgets replacing simple tools that work perfectly well, but this laser/measuring tape combo is winning me over.Firstly, the standard measuring tape works just fine and is actually very nice quality. The lock and retention are effortless and the mini magnets mounted into the hook actually stay put on steel when you draw out the tape. The tape is marked on both sides. The top side has both inches and metric. The inches are in 1/16" increments. On the bottom the metric is the same as the top, but the inches are not in 1/32 increments, which I think is very handy and makes it easier to read. The tape retracts smoothly. The laser measurement works very well and is pretty easy to use, once you go through the included instruction manual. One reviewer complained he couldn't access calibration mode, which I had problems with at first, too. The manual gives the impression you should hold down both the "off/clear" button and also the "meas" button simultaneously. That doesn't work.To get into laser calibration mode, hold down the "off/clear" button and just press the "meas" button once. Voila -- you're in calibration mode. Hope that helps someone who's having difficulty. The many functions of the laser are easy to get to and pretty clear to know which is which from the simple display. I haven't played with all of them yet, but if you just need the basic linear function, you don't even need the manual to figure it out.Overall, this measuring tool feels very solid. It's useful and not just a cheap gimmick. I'm not sure if it would survive a fall off a 10' ladder, but I'd say that it's about as sturdy as they can make it for the price. Sure, it could be made indestructable, but then it would probably also cost $500. I'm pretty careful with tools in general and don't throw them around, so for me, I think this will be fine.Lastly, this is surprisingly compact, considering it combines a measuring tape and laser distance unit in one. The belt clip is good, and it comes with a wrist strap, with helps to protect from accidental drops. I really like the fact that it is USB-C rechargeable. The battery seems to last a long time. I haven't emptied it yet.Overall, I think this will be a very handy tool to have once I learn all its features. But even as just a plain old measuring tape, it's quite good.
