This part solved a leakage problem in my antique (1960's) American Standard. I had cleaned up the old flapper to no avail. The Lasco replacement did the trick. Be sure you get the metal screw housing pushed deeply into the flap and it will stay put.

I snapped in the bronze screw flat side in. The thread in the bronze screw fit just right. So, I replaced my 10 plus year old flapper.
