The Youtube videos makes it seem to easy to install. However, I had to wind up mixing some of the old parts with the new parts in order for the system to work, because I couldn't seem to get all of the new parts to fit properly. I also had to use a pair of bolt cutters to cut the piece that connects the deadbolt to the turning knob in order to get it to the right size, but I suppose that couldn't be helped if all Larson screen doors are not the same size. After the installation was complete, I could tell that the unit was very sturdy and would do its intended job.

Super easy to install. I purchased this to replace the original door hardware that was beginning to show corrosion from the coastal elements. Unfortunately, I am returning this to the Seller because the deadbolt lock core won't remain in place (refer to photo). When I insert the key and turn the lock to engage, the entire lock core comes out with the key. I disassembled the lockset a few times and reinserted the lock core, but it continued to come out with the key. Super frustrating and a complete waste of time. I reinstalled the original hardware because I need a 100 percent reliable lock and, based upon other reviews, I have little confidence a replacement would be any better. At nearly $100, this should be a higher quality product. This is the same lock core Yakima uses in their rooftop cargo boxes and bike racks. Definitely not appropriate for use in a storm door. Buyer beware.

This was a good purchase overall. It may require some alternating with respect to screw sizing based on door thickness, but overall it has performed very well. If the screws are too long, they can either be cut, or replaced for pennies at your local hardware store.Excellent quality in the finishing as well. It has remained looking brand new despite heavy sun exposure and cold winter conditions.

After 15 years, the hardware on my old Larson storm door was looking pretty rough. Apparently they have changed the design over the years, so I couldn't easily replace just the handles and exterior pieces. found this, for an acceptable price (as compared to other sellers). Arrived quickly, and install was reasonably easy (it helps if you are a handy DIYer). Looks great, and everything works as it should.

Used this handle set as replacement for a unit that was at least 24 years old and it fit the old door perfectly and seems to work just fine. Installation was pretty straightforward with one glaring exception. The unit comes with something the instructions identify as a "D clip" which is intended to hold a bushing in place on the outside handle. I don't know if the D clip I received was the wrong size or I just don't know how to install these things, but I spent the better part of a half-hour trying to get it to fit. In the end I am not sure that it is actually installed properly, but the lockset is working fine and the handle is firmly seated. Just a word of warning,

I didn't receive what was actually pictured. The picture included the entire handle set including the latch and inside components. What I got was the handle and the both faceplates.....which worked for me. But if you were expecting the complete package as pictured you would be disappointed.
