We repainted our house new colors which made the front door a focal point, so we were looking for a door knocker which was polished brass which would stand out and be visible from the road. This fit the bill perfectly. Living in Florida the shell was perfect, and they are large, so they show up from the street and look great. They are also heavy and well-made and Luckly the same shade of brass as our brass door hardware. Love them.
