Easy to assemble, started on first pull, has plenty power to cut thru 16" dried hardwood rounds. All manuals and assembly guide were with the splitter. Every assembly nut, bolt, and washers were present. About an hour to assemble.Received the splitter within 24 hours.No idea about longevity, it works great, plenty fast, and doesn't labor when splitting.I looks like quality welds and finish.My only thoughts are that the knife is welded on and I have no idea how long it'll last, it'll be tedious to replace. That said, it has plenty 'meat' for sharpening.Arrived well packaged.Seems quite the value for the price vs 20 power.I'll add that when using the splitter, stand aft of the ram, halfs fall off the bed and will ruin your day.

I was kinda wondering after reading the mixed reviews but went ahead and ordered it. Really simple to assemble and doesn't even think about slowing down while splitting oak. I find it as money well spent and give it two thumbs up!

It worked great to split about a chord of wood. I admit it was all my fault that I got in a hurry and accidentally got a log caught behind the hydraulic ram foot on the return cycle and snapped off the control valve which ruined the return hose and the fittings on the cylinder and on the control valve leaving the threads and seats of the hydraulic connections un-repairable.I took the damaged parts to a hydraulic shop and it could have been fixed other than it is built with British pipe connections instead of American pipe thread and those connections arent readily available.I called and sent an email to Great Circle Products (the manufacturer of Landworks and Superhandy) asking to purchase a complete replacement Hydraulic Cylinder assembly after I couldnt find and repair parts listed on their website. I'll post an update when I find out if they can/will sell me what I need to fix it. If they sell me the parts I will update my review to 5 Star.For less than buying all the connectors on special order, buying a new control valve and the labor to fix what I broke, I was able to buy all the parts from Great Circle. Its not easy to find but they sell parts through a different website. GCMOUTLET.COM is where you need to go for replacement parts. Best advise I can give you is to call to make sure you order the right parts. Eric was a great help.

It does a great job, easy to start, handles larger pieces well. The assembly instructions didn’t include purging air from hydraulic system. The returning to full open position did require holding lever after splitting.

Splitter arrived in good condition. Reasonably clear assembly directions. I was able to assemble myself without much hassle. Arrived without engine manual. Once assembled and proper fluids added, the problems began. Motor would not start despite following directions in correct engine manual I found online. Went straight to flooded. Making a spark, good compression by thumb test. Fuel making it to cylinder. Fuel straight from gas station; fresh. Neighbors had a crack at it too and same result. ?Engine switch bad?Called number on unit (Great Circle USA). They suggested that I was using fuel with too much octane. That sounded like horse manure to me, but I drained the gas and replaced it with 87 octane fuel. Nothing changed. Behaved the same. Called Great Circle back; they requested I send them a video of me trying to start the unit. I did so almost a week ago and have heard nothing. Called them today and was told by a different guy that they are swamped with these kinds of calls (RED FLAG). They said I should be hearing back in the day day or 2 about disposition.The thing looks surprisingly solid and well-built. But serves me right for thinking this was a good idea to begin with. We'll see. Wish me luck.Update: Great Circle has never gotten back to me. Amazon refunded my money so at least that's good.
