I've never found a fountain pen I could write with...until now. True I had tried many of the more novelty and kit varieties. But when this arrived and I started writing with it; writing itself truly became a joy again. Not one day has passed that I have not looked forward to laying pen to paper in the transcription of my thoughts since receipt of this beautiful yet simple instrument. Thank you Lamy. Highly recommend.

Love it. Not a fan of blue ink but the black ink is inexpensive. Pen is low maintenence and is well designed. Fits easy in my hand and is comfortable to write with.

This pen 🖊️ rules!!! I love the the way LAMY’s fountain pens have an engineered grip so that you hold it the way it’s intended to be held. Yellow is my favorite color so there’s that lol! And the pen writes beautifully with a medium type width, a disposable; pre-filled blue ink cartridge and not a single leak. You can buy different colored disposable cartridges or you can buy a refillable cartridge as well as different sized tips so you can start using your own ink and fonts. Lamy fountain pens are one of the best and oldest brands on the market and from affordable yet never lacking in quality, to true works of art and beauty made of solid gold types and other precious metals 1quintrillion stars

This is a fine pen. Made so sturdy, LEGO material I think! The look is simple. It writes smoothly and the med nib writes well. I like the grip: not slippery and not short. Doesn't skip and doesn't leak. Now I am tempted to just get a dozen more. Yes, I am a fan.

The Lamy Safari is a great "daily driver" pen. The pen body has comfortable grip and weight. This model has a medium nib which has a less drag on the paper which produces smooth flowing lines. The price on this was less than $20 the apparent trade off being the lack of the normal packaging. This arrived in a standard envelope in a polybag. No bubble wrap or Lamy Box.Pros: great value , durability, and dependabilityCons: packaging

I have about a dozen fountain pens. All are considered the budget level, ranging in price compared to the Lamy Safari, but this pen stands WAY above all these. The pen is very nice, though it feels a bit light in your hand compared to other pens. In this regard it feels a bit cheap. When you write with it, though, you notice the difference. The pen writes very smoothly, with an even flow of ink and smooth action. The NIB is super high quality. It comes with one blue cartridge, and additional cartridges are available. You can also get a converter to use with your own bottled ink, but you have to buy that separately. Hence why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It should come with a converter. As it is, I am waiting for one to be delievered and I have a nice assortment of inks to try, but cannot yet.

Lamy pens are my favorite in terms of practicality, style, and affordability. I bought this to replace a 5 year old Safari I thought was lost. The medium nib is the best - I find the fine and extra fine nibs too scratchy on even smooth Oxford paper. Used with a refillable cartridge and Waterman ink, the Lamy Safari fountain pen is an eco-friendly alternative to disposable pens that makes writing a lot easier on my arthritic hand. Transfer is smooth, weight is good (especially with the cap on the back), and the full cartridge lasts about two weeks with moderate notetaking. The colour is adorable as well.
