I used these mounts to replace a seat hinge on a Peace Motorsports Talon scooter. The mounts are more robust than the original cheap metal mounts. The mounts allow the seat to pivot, allowing access to the top of the engine. The mounts are well made and include all needed hardware. The rubber inserts allow use on multiple sizes of tubing, and when installed, they stay in place.

The 5 mm screw hole threads are not usable. I need to run a 5mm-0.8 tap through all the 4 screw holes to clean out the threads. The screw could not be threaded into hole otherwise. Also be prepared to get different screw lengths. The screws that came were 12 mm long. I tried to attach this to a 1 inch shaft by using the thinner spacer - the screws were too short - needed 20 mm length screws.Otherwise the produce is very sturdy

Used to mount big Stedi C4 flood/spotties on motorbike bars which are not really appropriate for motorbikes but FM they light up the dark forests. Roos, Wallys, Wombats, Deer, part time rally drivers and I can now see eachother. These held the weight of the lights perfectly. Didn't move at all despite the whoops, pot holes, rocks, dips, ramps and groin ripping slide outs.

Needed to use rubber flat piece plus the correct spacer to get it tight enough to hold the light bar without slipping. The threads inside the clamps were really rough so I had to run the bolts in and out before the install. Good overall mounts for the price and they look really nice. Once fitted, light bars are stable and don’t move or vibrate when I drive. They also fit on handlebars so I put led cubes on them

The product is nice looking, light weight, fits a multitude of bars, but my main issue is how easily the screws holding the two pieces together strip out when under minimal pressure. I tightened it down by alternating between the two screws until it was getting snug, and I tightened the bottom screw up until I thought it would hold tight without issue. After a 3/4 twist on the top screw (the longer piece of aluminum), it got tight and then stripped out rendering the piece useless. It was weird how the top piece stripped out with less pressure than on the bottom piece. The other bracket went in without issue. Well, I have to say customer service and getting a refund was a piece of cake. I sent an email to the vendor either on a Friday night or Saturday morning telling them I needed half of a new piece, and much to my surprise, I received an email on that Saturday. They stated they couldn’t ship out a new one due to the Coronavirus lockdown, but that they would refund my money and I could order a new one. My refund came immediately and I turned around and ordered a new set. While installing the new one I decided I needed to make a change to the other bracket that originally installed without issue. When I went to tighten it up again, the top screw on that set stripped out. Again, I did not tighten too much, it is just a lousy design to use such small screw threads on a piece of aluminum. Thankfully, when they sent me a new set, it was a pair so I still had an extra bracket (so much for using it on my kids quad for a spotlight). I don’t know why they can’t make this with a bigger screw or coarser thread so that it doesn’t strip so easily. I ended up using blue loctite on all the screws, but I was hesitant to tighten that last bracket down too much and I’m hoping it doesn’t move on me from vibration.I’d probably rate this item lower, but due to the excellent customer service and their willingness to back their product, I gave it a 3 star. The company itself gets 5 stars, they were great!

For $9 on a 2 pack these brackets fit my needs of adding auxiliary lights to the crash/engine bars of my motorcycle. There was only 2 issues with these, first was fixed with a bit of hardware store parts and know-how. The second was one of the set screws stripped the threading right out of the bolt. The 1st issue is the inner diameter of the mounting hole where you would fit a CB antenna, bolt from the light bracket, etc is 10.45 mm in diameter (used a micrometer on both to verify). This is HUGE when the application I was using this for was a M6 bolt (6 mm diameter metric bolt). Remedy for this was a rubber bushing as I couldn't enlarge the bolt size from the lights I'm using. $4 for new hardware to marry the 2 light to the 2 brackets. No biggie. The 2nd issue is partially my fault, but also the cheap bolt provided. The metal is SOFT. Since the mounting application was a crash bar there was an inner and outer bolt in relation to the mounting position. Tightening one 2 quarter turns (space limited) and 1 a half turn, alternating between them to keep them even. Once the distance between the front and back bracket was close to touching, the bolts obviously became harder to turn, but still relatively easy with a tiny allen wrench. Then the inner one became too easy, and I knew it was stripped. Considering a bracket is supposed to be clamped tightly to secure objects to rounded tubing, this is an obvious flaw. 2nd bracket I installed with much more care knowing how soft the bolts are.Advice for the manufacturer: Steel bolts, different sized mounting hole options or at least a better description of the dimensions.Overall I'm still satisfied. And will be ordering a replacement from the mistake.
