I'm not sure why this product had so many negative reviews.. For the price, it's perfect. The ring is secure and works well with the pole to pull it down. I had zero issues with it and would buy again if I needed another.

Easy solution to the hideous nylon cord hanging down problem. Took five minutes to put together, everything works and it looks great.

The ring is not a complete ring so when you pull the attic ladder down it comes apart and the pull down pole is not adjustable so it completely extends when you pull on the attic ladder causing it to be to long .It’s a beautiful kit but not functional at all.

But this is not a super strong hook. kind of flimsy when fully extended. always scared i'm going to break something when using it to let the attic door down.
