To be honest, I don't really like the design inside. It looks old-fashioned. There are also too many things going on in one page and that makes it look messy and a bit dirty.

Good quality; kind of fun to carry around, but not a great fit into my pockets or most small bags, so I switched to survey notebooks, which you can find far cheaper outside of Amazon. Google around.

Very nice quality and very durable. Binding very well constructed and stands up well to being opened and closed several times over. Paper is perfect, appropriate headers and footers. Will last through the years. Seller customer service was above and beyond when there was a problem with shipping, despite it not being their fault. Much appreciated.

The notebook is made with heavy duty, thick paper that is a must for people that is wishing to write on both sides of the page. Compare the notebook to a Piccadilly, the Scientific Notebook outperform with quality and color of the paper. Here is the lowdown:The Good 1. The paper can withstand conventional pens and light color makers. I am using a Uniball JetStream and Sharpie pens. 2. The color of the paper is a bright white and light green graph paper. 3. The cover is made of a plush material that give the book a fine texture. 4. The price is low compare to Moleskine and other notebooks. I will be writing up my notes and buying these notebook again, no doubts about it.The Bad 1. Dark makers will ghost though the page.OverallIf you are looking for a notebook that contains thick pages that have minimal ghosting from markers, then buy Scientific Notebooks.

Great notebook. The gridded format makes it easy to keep everything organized while recording data.

I currently am an engineering student, and I find that the abundance of pages(192 pages)in this book allows me to use it for a longer duration over the paper-back version(64 pages). This book also has a stronger binding over the paper-back version, and will most likely not have pages coming out of it once you use it for too long. As an added plus, the recycle paper used in this book actually feels like good quality paper. This most likely is just me, but I like how the hardcovers won't break if you need to bend them around the binding(like you would reading a normal book and want to read only 1 page at a time). However, the book is 3 pounds and quite big. If you plan to take this everywhere you go take that into consideration. If you are an engineering student, and need a book with lots of pages to write and document all your ideas this book will most likely fit the majority of what you need.I have only used this book for a week however so these are my initial impressions so far.

I was thinking about getting the Maker Notebook to keep records of some development work but could not find a new one for a reasonable price. After looking for awhile I found this little lab notebook as an alternative. I was suspicious because the price was so low, so I just ordered one and waited to see how it looked. The notebook arrived today and it appears to be the real thing. I like the smaller size, the sturdy binding, the thick paper, and the fields on each numbered page that you can use to record the context for the work. I cannot speak to the acid content of the pages or the book's general longevity but the binding is of high quality and I would bet these will last as long as I need them. I just ordered 2 more before they decide to raise the price. The only negatives I can see right now is that the quad ruling is fairly dark green and I would have preferred something lighter that faded a bit more into the background. Also, the book is stiff to start with and you really have to push it to get it flat. But as I mentioned the binding is tough so it works.I think this is an amazing deal at nine dollars.
