This notebook is the perfect size and the ideal tool to stay organized when seeing patients and presenting! The format ensures that you cover pertinent questions and helps set you up for success. I cannot recommend it enough!

this is a chunky little black book largely filled with 2-page spreads from which one can detail patient information, HPI, PMH, ROSFSHx, SGHx, Rx, allergies, SHx, PE, and proposed DDX, assessment and plan. It is a nice little template, but it's likely insufficient space for comprehensive history taking and begs the question whether the format is more usable as a little black book which might just fill up all available scrub pocket space, or if the content were culled into an online template from which to fill out on an iPad or similar tablet. the book itself does say its material as is is copyrighted against any sort of reproduction, but the terms and phenomena aren't particular to this publisher. the goal is to make sure that those of us in training have the relevant points in our brains and on hand to ask the questions we need and get our jobs done nicely.hence about 4 stars. about 90% of the pages are 2-spread patient history ones, with a few lined blank pages afterwards with quick you-should-know-this factsheets, including normal ECG interval/segment times and actions, arrhythmias as per ECG cartoon, CBC references (honestly EMRs tend to have reference values next to the lab results, so i'm not sure how helpful these are, fishbone diagrams with reference values, BMP reference values, some basic medical/renal equations , ABG references, acid-base, CMP, and lipid panel references, conversions (cm/in, C/F, lb/kg, etc), dermatomes/myotomes, child/teen/adult vaccine schedules (contentious topic in the current climate). and that's all, folks.it's a soft-bound workbook. the corners aren't rounded. the pages lean towards the lightest weighted book paper and are matte, with visible ink from the opposite side. print quality isn't bad but isn't as luxe as it could be. hence my 4 star rating. good for the concepts, maybe not the best for execution, but nonetheless, a place to start.

I am a second year medical student and got this notebook after having had a different HPI notebook that didn't fit in my pocket and so always got left behind. I got this notebook because of it's size and the wireless-binding which is much easier to put in my pocket to be able to keep on me at all times while seeing patients. This is such a great product!

Awesome notebook, fits in my scrub pocket and lays flat after breaking it in. Also looks professional in the hospital.

I am in my second year at medical school, and we are starting to do a LOT of patient interactions. I needed to get a book like this because there's a lot to remember, and an HPI notebook would help keep me organized. The quality is excellent, and at first, the binding was a little bit weird, but it has adjusted a lot, and I like it. The biggest thing is that it fits in my pocket because it's easy to slip away when I'm trying to do the physical exam or even get on the computer to look at the chart. I would recommend!

Great size, easy to carry in the hospital, fits in the scrub pocket, and great layout. Just started out so it’s an exceptional organizational tool when I interview patients. The reference pages are excellent as well. Couldn’t be more happy!
