My girlfriend had this to say: This is a good quality lab book. The hard cover assures that it can be used again and again in working conditions and protect the documentation. All the printed elements - including the gridding - are all clean and legible. The reason I held back on star is that the paper is not super thin - but there could be some bleed-through depending on the writing implement used. Overall, however, this is a good product.

I use laboratory notebooks for smaller projects, so it's a waste of a good A4 or letter-size notebook with 250+ pages. This lab notebook checks in a little smaller (8 x 10 inches) with fewer pages (120), which suits my needs better. The cover is hard and smooth. It's also black, and that makes it difficult to identify the contents. No spine or cover stickers were provided. The paper holds up to my fine point gel pens without much show-through to the next page. The design is standard and printed well, with no noticeable skips or splotches. The lack of a means to identify contents on the cover took off a star for me, but if you don't need that feature, then it's five-star.

The lab notebook is well put together (nicely bound with a good hardcover.) Overall, it is great for class, research, or notes. Highly recommended.

First, the hard cover sewn binding suggests that these notebooks will be around for a long time. They open nearly flat on their own and don't need much to open fully. The page design is excellent with each page providing tracking notes and a full sheet of graph paper. There's a note section in the back and a variable table of contents so you can keep track of where your notes and doodles are located. Its large enough at 8x10" to be useful but still a good size to fit inside most brief or backpack organizer areas.

I'm a new home owner who is trying to DIY some new homes fix ups. I got this to plan and keep track of projects. I index each project into a table of contents in the first few pages. The first project I completed was a workbench to do more projects.
