First things first, I should mention that I’m not a professional who can give you a full professional breakdown of this item. I can only tell you that in my opinion as a random person this is a good product. My needs are limited but I’m happy with it as it does meet those needs.I’m only taking a star off because I noticed from another review that the shield affects the reading, which I hadn’t noticed until I read that and that could have given me inaccurate weights. For my purposes that’s not the end of the world but that does seem like a design flaw.

Affordable precision scale. Packaged well, in a double walled box, with foam protecting the scale.Includes the scale, AC adapter, 12V 1A (UL listed), calibration weight, and a draft shield. The scale can alternatively use batteries, but I did not test either batteries or the RS232 serial output. The draft shield is very basic - thin plastic sides, plastic removable top, and no doors. The scale has threaded holes for securing a draft shield, but the included draft shield does not seem to be the kind that can screw into the scale, so it just sits on top. But it does what it needs to do.Calibration weight is 200g, but does not seem to have any class listed. To calibrate this would need to be an M1 or F2 class weight.Note that 1mg accuracy is the "d" rating for the accuracy, while the "e" is 10mg. The latter value would be the actual accuracy rating, from what I understand, that is generally acceptable for business transactions and the like, so keep that in mind. The listing and the manual does reflect both, so that's good.Calibration was good, and repeatability was on point showing 200.000 or 200.001 within the "d" rating of display accuracy. Display is large, backlit, easy to read, and updates fast.Good value as long as you don't mind the caveat or two mentioned above.

It’s hard with scoops and some scales to be able to accurately get the most precise amount measured but this takes away so much guess work and not being completely sure of how much you are distributing of a product. Works easy and little set up time. Stores away easy without taking up too much room and good clear reading area.

I’m not a scientist, but sometimes have the need to weigh things in smaller amounts than your typical kitchen scale will allow for. The model I went with has a max weight of 300 grams which covers my needs nicely. It’s very easy to use and set up. It can be used with or without the box/windscreen and has a good sized tray. The integrated bubble level is easy to read and the adjustable feet are easy to manipulate to make sure the scale is sitting totally level. It comes with a 200 gram weight for calibration and calibration is very quick and simple. The instructions are pretty basic and easy to follow, though they don’t show how to assemble the windscreen itself easy enough to figure out - the base of the frame snaps positively onto the scale, the corner uprights fit securely into slots and twist into place, the side panels slide into the uprights. The lid with the center hole for placing items on the tray sits on top. The only other part is the power supply. Stickers state there are rechargeable batteries available for purchase if you want to use it that way instead of plugging into the wall. The display is large, easy to read, and backlit. The button controls are intuitive and easy to operate. There are many measurement types available as well as a counting function that works in pieces as well as percentage. There are threaded brass inserts at the corners of the unit for other attachments or perhaps permanently installing the windscreen. I personally don’t have a need for the serial port, the connection is standard and the instructions include pinout details, baud-rate info (9600), and data stream specs (continuous).while it doesn’t come with a storage case, it does come in a nice box with easy to reuse foam packing materials that make it easy to box back up for storage. I’ve subtracted a star because my unit didn’t come with any accuracy certificates or a warranty card as listed in the package contents within the manual, thought the warranty and repair details are printed in the manual as well as contact information for support via phone, email, and WhatsApp or WeChat. Overall this appears to be a very nice, solid, well made piece of equipment.
