case is built solidly enough however the end clips on the top cover cannot be secured at the same time either one side or the other can close (along with the clips at the front/bottom of the vita )so of the 4 closing clips you can have 3 closed two bott0m edge and left side or two bottom edge and right side but not all 4 (leaving a case gap at the end where the clip wont closed) not the end of the world and can still be used but pretty poor to be fair.note this is even after all the after market previously installed anti scratch plastic protector film has been removed from the vita to try to get it to fit.

I can tell by the design in conjunction with the reviews (and physically seeing how it functions) that this is a great product with an incredibly flimsy design. So flimsy, they sent it to me with a piece snapped off. It's not even inside the packaging. Really sad to have to send this back. I was looking forward to it. Definitely going to try and find another like it from another source.

This seemed perfect, however after receiving it, the case didn't fit right and was very cheap and flimsy. Do not buy.

I have recently gotten back into Vita modding and I was looking for something that would make it easier to play PS1 games, when I came across this case. A lot of reviewers for this case claimed that it gave them better control and was far more comfortable to use with the case. I ordered the case despite the fairly large asking price and while it worked great for my use cases, I can’t say it’s anything required for vita power users. When it came to the PS1 games I tried (Armored Core, Medal of Honor, and Ape Escape) the case made playing these games far more enjoyable than without. All these games actively use the L2 and R2 button and would be far less comfortable to play without this case. However, that is about all it does well. The triggers are basically pointless in PSP and Vita games without homebrew remapping tools. The official PSP emulator on vita does not allow you to remap button commands to the back touchpad, making these pointless. In the case of vita games, you might need full access to the back touch pad, in which those cases, this case is actually a detriment, as you only have a small portion of the touchpad left to use. There are claims that the case makes the vita far more comfortable for those with big hands, which i mostly disagree with. It does make it slightly more comfortable to use, but it is a very marginal difference, and one that most probably won’t notice. I have not tested game streaming with this case, but i imagine it’d be very useful for that too. Overall, if you plan to play a lot of PS1 games on your vita or if you plan to do a ton of game streaming, this is something I can recommend but if all you wanna do is play Vita games or PSP games, you can pass this one up.

If you've rediscovered the PS Vita, one of the appeals is that of its size. It's not too bulky but at the same time navigating the device during intense game sessions could be uncomfortable on your hands! This will give you the comfort you need for those extended hours of play and won't cost you an arm and a leg like some other hard-to-find brands that are no longer production!

The L2 and R2 triggers work GREAT. Games that rely on them (such as the PSX game Panzer Front, while playing on vita inside Adrenaline PSP emulator) are 100% playable now. Grip is very comfortable as well. Great product and does exactly as advertised. This makes the vita the ultimate retro gaming handheld and the true “PlayStation Portable”

The product is very cool, great purchase. Something to improve on is its sturdiness, some parts, specially in the front part, are kind of fragile. You just have to be careful and everything is good. Recommended

This is for the original psvita oled. It provides L2R2 triggers (via a mechanism that taps the rear touchpad). Works very well. The vita fits in snug and the case sandwiches around it. Has several plastic clasps that hold together. The clasps seem light duty so may be an issue if you plan to frequently remove the vita from the case. If you plan on playing PS4 games on your vita through remote play you really need those l2/r2 triggers. Keep in mind these are not analog triggers like the ds4 but are fine for casual FPS/adventure games. Also note this case does not provide you with L3/R3 functionality so no running around!Great to see this product now available through local Amazon warehouses.

PROS:-Way more comfortable than without it-Having L2/R2 triggers is a must for PSone games, and remote play of PS3/PS4-Looks really nice on the system-All the ports are easily accessedCONS:-Will NOT close completely if you've a front/back/both screen protector. Only the side snaps work. I haven't had it long enough to say whether or not it'll be good enough and last. It does feel secure enough, but if it fails I will update this-The trigger buttons are very "meh". They have a long travel distance. But, they work. Just takes some getting used to.-While it's nice that this isn't overly bulky, it does feel very flimsy and delicate.-It's thicc where it shouldn't be. The Home, Start, and Select buttons are a bit too receded. Still accessible, but a bit annoying. More so with the Start/Select buttons. The Home button is more bearable since it bigger.-Because of the hand grips and trigger buttons, this roughly doubles the thickness of the Vita, and in turn makes it unable to use a standard travel case. I have to use a Mumba hard case that was made to fit a Nintendo Switch and a couple extra joycons etc.SUMMARY:It fine if you've got a screen protector, but a lot better if you don't. It should also be cheaper. Like, $15 total. I've attached a fair amount of photos to help you decide for yourselves since this listing doesn't even show the trigger buttons, and someone answered a question incorrectly saying it fits with a glass screen protector.UPDATE:Added a few pictures. It turns out you CAN close it all the way with a screen protector, but it takes a decent amount of force. I said to heck with it and figured the flimsy plastic would break, but I got it closed. You can see how it's barely staying closed. But, it's been a few days with use and it hasn't broken (yet?) so I figured I would update this. So in other, it might or might not break if you get it to close all the way.
